Endless Knight is the sequel to the phenomenal first book of The Arcana Chronicles from Kresley Cole. …. and I couldn’t have been more excited to read this, as I loved already the first book senselessly!
Ever Imagined all the players of a Tarot Card Deck Coming to live?
Set in a Dystopian world, Evie our main character has to learn that she is actually a part of an ancient and very gruesome game where all the players of a Tarot Deck come to live and have to fight each other until only one survives. Being completely along, the only one she trusts is Jack – a bad-ass kick ass mortal who she also fell in love with! (and oh Girls – Jack is completely swoon worthy hottness!) Now, Evie and Jack form alliances with other Tarot Players to fight against the ultimate and most dangerous card in the game “Death”….
I love love love this idea, it’s so unique and yet so amazing that I can hardly believe no one ever thought about this before! All these kids have different abilities and now they are left to fight for their lives!
Holy Hottness, and Holy Scaryness!
While Evie learns all about this in the first book, she now has to learn how to use her powers and needs to fight to survive. She forms some great alliances and all these characters are just awesomely developed. The plot itself is thrilling and so fast paced that you won’t have much time to catch your breath. There are some gruesome scenes and elements that scared the hell out of me, but the plot development is just outstanding.
I was fixed and glued to the pages, I never wanted to stop and I found myself coming home from work dropping everything just to read on and find out what happens next!
And in between all these we find the hottest and sexiest teenage romance ever! Even though this series is a YA one, it definitely is directed for the mature reader. Holy Cow, Kresley Cole most definitely knows how to write steamy and sexy scenes!!
The chemistry between Evie and Jack is sizzling and nearly palpable!
Death – is he really so evil?
Even though all characters are amazing, Death is the one character who stands out even more! Kresley Cole managed to create a character who is so complex, deep and contradicting that you cannot help but fall a little for the interesting player.
While Death is the ultimate evil in Poison Princess, we will have to rethink our opinion once we get to know him better. There is so much more about him that will make your heart ache so much and even if you do not want to, you will most definitely start slowly caring for him. Just like Evie! And here comes a Love Triangle I didn’t see coming, but makes sadly totally sense. I know that everyone is concerned about Love Triangles, but here? It’s done just perfect and we cannot help it but understand Evie’s feelings.
It’s amazingly played, it’s incredibly developed and I just love love love how deep and complex Kresley Cole created these characters!
Bewitched Rating
Bottom Line
Endless Knight by Kresley Cole was a brilliant and simply outstanding sequel that is filled with the most complex and deep characters in a story that is uniquely amazing. Hot ,sexy and kick ass this book leaves nothing to desire. So, all I can do is urge you to read this book, and if you haven’t yet – then GO and pick up The Poison Princess!

I loved Poison Princess so I’m really pleased to see you enjoyed this just as much. I’m a little concerned about that love triangle, I’m not a fan of them at all.
A fabulous review!

For some reason, I always love Death in his many reincarnations. I haven’t read this one yet (it’s sitting on my Kindle, just waiting for the weekend) but I can’t wait to jump back into this world — even more now, after your review!!

Wow! This sounds fantastic. I started reading the first book and then put it on hold for some time (because I was in a bad mood), but I never got back to it. I’m going to read it again because this Death sounds fabulous. I love it when an author gives you the back-story of the villain, especially when they make you fall for him a lot. Plus, a sexy romance sounds right up my alley!
Fab review, Danny!

I so enjoyed the first book Danny even if Jack did piss me off numerous times, the world was just so interesting and that book had the best beginning of any book I’ve read in a long time. I can’t wait to see where Evie’s story goes, and I’m of course all for sexy times with Jack!

My biggest worry for this was that Jack would be absent through much of it, so I’m so glad to hear that they aren’t apart and the heat still sizzles! I’m so excited to read this! My friend has a copy for me so I’ll be getting it in just a little over a week!

I am dying for this book to come out. Poison Princess was by far one of the BEST YA books I’ve read. Ever. Now that I’ve read this review, I’m even more excited to read book 2. I watched the trailer the other day…totally badass. Thanks for this post 🙂

I am so excited to read this one! I absolutely felt drawn in by Poison Princess so I hope that the shock from the first carries into the second. Death seems to always be an intriguing character, whether it be Gaiman or the Riders of the Apocalypse series.
Thanks for not revealing too much, I am super excited to see where it goes. I may wait for the audio, because the first one blew me away on audio.
