Weekly meme from The Story Siren. The idea is to post the books you got this week, whether you bought them, got them as a gift, from the library, or received them to review.
Hey there, Heather here again. I have a couple of books that I had preordered from Amazon.com show up on my doorstep. Plus, I raided my local Barnes and Noble again. Here’s a picture of my loot.
I’ll start at the left and work my way to the right. (All links are to Amazon.com)
I preordered Jeaniene Frost’s fifth Night Huntress Book, This Side of the Grave. I’ve already read it and it was great as usual. I definitely recommend her books for paranormal romance fans out there.
I also preordered Allison Brennan’s Kiss Me, Kill Me. This is book two of the Lucy Kincaid series. I read and reviewed book one of this series, Love Me To Death, as part of the author’s blog tour. I loved this book so much, I preordered the second one without hesitation.
And this leads me to my Barnes and Noble trip. I actually saw one of Allison Brennan’s previous series through the window. I couldn’t resist picking all three of these up to see the beginnings of some of the characters in her new series. This series includes Speak No Evil, Fear No Evil, and See No Evil.
In the young adult section, I picked up Herbie Brennan’s The Shadow Project. The premise seems cool, where a teenaged thief breaks into the headquarters of a secret government organization by mistake. In this place, teenage spies are trained to use astral projection to go on missions around the world. And of course he is captured and offered to either join the project or go to jail.
When I picked up those books, I had passed a table full of books that were marked “Buy 2, Get the 3rd Free.” So I picked up Max Brooks’ The Zombie Survival Guide and World War Z. I’m a fan of zombies and figured I would read up a little bit before writing some more on my zombie NaNoWriMo project.
My third book was free, so I picked up S.J. Parris’ Heresy-An Elizabethan Thriller. I’ve read mostly thrillers and mysteries lately, and this one sounded cool too.
So there’s my mailbox for the past few weeks. Have you read any of the books that I bought or even the one for review? What did you get in your mailbox?
Happy Reading.

I really wish B & N were over here too. They always seem to have great bargains on or coupons for money off. I've never seen that with our bookshops here.
You've got a great haul there. I really must pick up the first book in Jeaniene Frost's series. They look so good.

The Allison Brennan books you got were the first I read from her. They really… I want to say good and they are, but it sounds wrong considering the subject matter. Happy reading!

Barnes and Noble is always dangerous!
I just bought World War Z for my boyfriend. He's really enjoying it so far. He reads some of the stories to me, which makes me eager to pick up the book after he's finished!

I got the mister World War Z and The Survival guide because he is a huge undead fan. He's not a book reader. He's read them both three times at least. I keep meaning to pick them up, but knowing that he loves them so much scares the ever livin' crap out of me. He's not for the faint of heart.
YAY for B&N!!! Tis my favey fave place. But you know that! =)
