About WASTELAND
Welcome to the Wasteland. Where all the adults are long gone, and now no one lives past the age of nineteen. Susan Kim and Laurence Klavan’s post-apocalyptic debut is the first of a trilogy in which everyone is forced to live under the looming threat of rampant disease and brutal attacks by the Variants —- hermaphroditic outcasts that live on the outskirts of Prin. Esther thinks there’s more to life than toiling at harvesting, gleaning, and excavating, day after day under the relentless sun, just hoping to make it to the next day. But then Caleb, a mysterious stranger, arrives in town, and Esther begins to question who she can trust. As shady pasts unravel into the present and new romances develop, Caleb and Esther realize that they must team together to fight for their lives and for the freedom of Prin.

I think I would not survive that long even though the life expectancy is only 19, I doubt I’d make it a day once I had to fend for myself. First, how do you find drinkable water when it’s poisoned? I just don’t see a way around that one!
This sounds like a great novel, dystopian/ apocalyptic to the extreme! Bet Levi has himself a nice stash of candy bars and sodas somewhere!

I would definitely need that course in learning how to find food and all the dangers involved. I’d probably be out there eating poison ivy or something without it. Or worse. *shudders* I fail at survival Danny!!!
Thank you so much for being part of this tour <3 <3 <3

I seriously don’t know long I would make in this world. No water means no tea. I would die the first day. Thanks for sharing the Survival 101 and for the giveaway.

I love books like this. There’s another book coming out later this year titled, Not a Drop to Drink, it’s a scary thought that we would could literally run out of consumable water one day!

Dude. I have to say it again: I’d die quickly. Even with training. I suppose that’s a blessing in a way, considering the world of WASTELAND. (Of course, being way over 19, I’d be long dead anyway…)

Without water, there isn’t a chance of survival. Water is the source of life. I’m not going to make it.
