Hey my friends, it’s this time of the year which feels like the most peaceful of the year for me.
This post is going to be more personal and private than my usual posts. But, there will be talk about books at the end, so hang on there…
Some of you might have realized that I was a little absent during the last weeks. Sadly, I had to go through a very harsh and tough time as my father in law was very sick with cancer. Two weeks ago he passed away after thankfully not having to suffer too long. Now, me and hubs have to deal with all the paperwork that is coming on top of such an emotional loss and a hubs mom who needs us right now.
Needless to say, I am looking forward spending Christmas time with my family and having some peaceful days. We are all going to spend the holidays at my parents place and I’m definitely going to need these days. I love christmas and even though this year will be the first without hubs’s Dad I hope we will have some quite time to recharge.
Christmas 2011
Once Christmas is over, the real relaxing time will begging because we are leaving for a long big vacation!! I think this is something we need the most right now! We are heading for the US, stop in Florida, LA and Vegas before we are flying to Hawaii where we are going to spend 12 wonderful days! Then, at the end we are spending 4 more days in St. Kitts in the Caribbean.
Guys, I cannot tell you how much I am looking forward to these 3.5 weeks! It will give us time to relax, recharge and get away… Last year during our big holiday I read 17 books and I’m excited to see how much I’m going to read this year!
Here are the books I’m going to take with me on holidays!
My Holiday Reading Pile
Amazing haul hu? Super excited and I even have no idea with which one to get started!
Now, do you have some books for me that I need to take with me? Like, what was your favorite read this year and I still need to read?
But, I won’t be away from the Bookworms completely! I will post some reviews and appear online here and there hopefully to catch some of you online.
For those who would like to follow me, I will post pictures from my holidays on tumblr (via twitter and instagram) . So if you are interested, you can follow me there.
I wish you all some peaceful holidays with your family!
Much love, yours

Aw I’m so sorry to hear about your loss. I hope that you have a great time on vacation though and I can’t believe you go for 3.5 weeks! Most people are lucky enough to take one week a year to go somewhere so I hope you have a lot of fun and take a lot of pictures so the rest of us can pretend we are somewhere tropical 🙂
