Today I have an exciting Guest… I have Molly Bartolucci here today.

She is the cute and funny main character inUndeadly.

Tips for Dating a Dead Boy

By Molly Bartolucci

First of all, you can’t be squeamish about the whole dead thing. Now, I’m not talking about zombie dating because … ew. Living people cannot date zombies. Zombies are dead. They don’t breathe or have a heartbeat or blood circulation. Zombies don’t date. They may look like someone you used to know, but they’re just animated corpses.

Okay. Second. Dating a dead boy does not include dating ghosts. Dating a ghost is pointless. They don’t have bodies, they don’t understand the concept of privacy, and if they died a couple centuries ago, they don’t know how to use a phone. Also, breaking up with ghosts is impossible. They’ll haunt you.

Third (Or is that thirdly? Is thirdly a word?). If you’re dating a dead boy, he’s probably a reaper. Probably. Reapers are dead, but they can assume a mortal form. Reapers are usually only visible to necromancers or to the dead or to other reapers. Listen, I don’t really have a lot of advice here. Reaper boys are kinda moody. One minute he’s kicking your butt in training, and the next minute he’s kissing you. And then he disappears. And apparently, he forgets how to text and/or call.

You know what? I need tips about dating a dead boy. What’s your advice?

Undeadly by Michele Vail

  • Published November 20th 2012 by Harlequin Teen

Book Synopsis:

The day I turned 16, my boyfriend-to-be died.

I brought him back to life.

Then things got a little weird…

Molly Bartolucci wants to blend in, date hottie Rick and keep her zombie-raising abilities on the down-low. Then the god Anubis chooses her to become a reaper—and she accidentally undoes the work of another reaper, Rath. Within days, she’s shipped off to the Nekyia Academy, an elite boarding school that trains the best necromancers in the world. And her personal reaping tutor? Rath.

Life at Nekyia has its plusses. Molly has her own personal ghoul, for one. Rick follows her there out of the blue, for another…except, there’s something a little off about him. When students at the academy start to die and Rath disappears, Molly starts to wonder if anything is as it seems. Only one thing is certain—-Molly’s got an undeadly knack for finding trouble….

Well, if the guy is dead and you want to date him, you better have a stock of Vick’s Vapo Rub to smear under your nose when you’re with him. Ha-Ha-Ha!

I’d suggest all dates be outdoors and you may want to hang an air-freshener around his neck. He is dead after all ;).

WOWZA! Undeadly sounds amazing! I have yet to read a book where the main character is a reaper, but I have read some of the Soul Screamers books by Rachel Vincent and I loved Tod. Thanks for the wondrous giveaway!

My advice on dating a dead guy is making sure that he’s not a zombie or possessed by an evil spirit. Make sure he’s himself and not crazy or evil now that he’s dead!

to Michele, I absolutely can’t wait to read Undeadly. It is one of my most anticipated, and I do believe that I will love it. And about dating dead boys. Are they cold? Because if that’s the case then it would be a no go. I couldn’t stand cold toes and cold fingers.
