I absolutely adore the cover of this book. It's almost other-worldly with her porcelain skin and her contrasting dark hair. Also, I've read the negative reviews on the book. As a matter of fact, being the skeptic that I am, when I research a book, I tend to try and find the lowest or worst review first, and read it…but in all fairness, I also read the best review. I try and compare, to see what it is that the two readers liked best or worst. And then…I basically take that knowledge and decide for my own self, because ultimately, you know what you'll like best, you know? And there's nothing wrong wrong with liking something that others may not. As a matter of fact, a friend and I were discussing "The Grapes of Wrath" by John Steinbeck earlier today, and the quality I described as "stark yet haunting", my friend deduced to be "dry and humorless" – was she wrong, or am I? Haha, therein lies the crux of it all…Opinions are not facts, they are neither right nor wrong! 🙂
Thank you for the wonderful and insightful interview! 😀
