Gritty, raw, and a side dose of sweet lovin’
An Intro to Vivienne Moore—According to Jace
The first time I saw Vivienne Moore I wasn’t exactly in a great mood. But then, dealing with hair-trigger temper drug lords and earning a knife wound while everyone else celebrated New Year’s Eve could turn even a saint’s mood sour.
Viv was as out-of-place as a woman could get at The Den. Between her dark hair pulled up in one of those uppity styles and her tailored pantsuit, she looked like she belonged in a boardroom or on some social charity committee more than in Deep Ellum’s newest and most popular pub. Come to find out, she wasn’t there for the party, but to bail her party-hound sister out of a bind.
She didn’t want my help.
I gave it to her anyway.
And found myself a juicy puzzle.
Yeah, everything on the outside showed a sophisticated woman, but my instincts said there was more than the image she showed everyone else. A gorgeous, curvy wild child that made me want to poke and prod her prim exterior until she let me in and shared her secrets.
Turns out, I was right. She was one of us. Born on the wrong side of the tracks and raised by parents who couldn’t pry their heads out of their own asses long enough to see what they’d done to their girls. Along the way, she got a seriously whacked out idea of what’s safe and what’s not.
I made it my mission to fix that. To peel that bogus mask away and show her what it really meant to be loved. Not just by me, but by a real family. Now she knows there’s nowhere safer than right beside me, living open and free exactly the way she wants to be.

About:
“Gritty, raw, and a side dose of sweet lovin’. Rough & Tumble by Rhenna Morgan will warm your heart and melt your panties.” —#1 New York Times bestselling author Audrey Carlan (Calendar Girl series)
Live hard, f*ck harder and follow only their own rules. Those are the cornerstones the six men of the Haven Brotherhood live and bleed by, refusing to conform to society’s expectations, taking what they want and always watching each other’s backs.
A self-made man with his fingers in a variety of successful businesses, Jace Kennedy lives for the challenge and he always gets what he wants. From the start, he sees Vivienne Moore’s hidden wild side and knows she’s his perfect match, if only he can break it free. He will have her. One way or another.
Vivienne’s determined to ditch the rough lifestyle she grew up in, even if that means hiding her true self behind a bland socialite veneer. Dragging her party-hound sister out of a club was not how she wanted to ring in the New Year, but Viv knows the drill. Get in, get her sister and get back to the safe, stable life she’s built for herself as fast as humanly possible. But Viv’s plans are derailed when she finds herself crashing into the club’s clearly badass and dangerously sexy owner.
Jace is everything Vivienne swore she never wanted, but the more time she spends with him, the more she starts to see that he loves just as fiercely as he fights. He can walk society’s walk and talk society’s talk, but when he wants something, he finds a way to get it. He’s proud of who he is and where he came from, and he’ll be damned if he lets Vivienne go before showing her the safest place of all is in the arms of a dangerous man

I’m in the mood for a gritty and raw hero. The last couple of books I’ve read have had suave and debonair type heroes and I like to mix it up.
