Audiobooks are not for everyone, but I just love them! They let me add in extra reading time when I usually would not be able to read. Like in the car, doing laundry or when I’m relaxing in the bath (gosh that I love the most!). So here are a few of my recent audiobooks which were so super awesome that I urge you to check them out!
Those are all YA Contemporaries (apart from Rebel Bell which has a paranormal twisty)
- Rebel Bell – goodreadsÂ
- I Hunt Killers &  Game –  Goodreads (I so badly want the next one!!) *
- Just One Day & Just One Year – Goodreads
- My Life Next Door – GoodreadsÂ
*since I was so excited about these books I couldn’t wait to meet Barry Lyga at BEA and he promised the last one will be super duper shocking! Well, bring it on!Â
Love Audiobooks? What are you recent favourites? Any recommendations for me?Â

I’m a new audiobook fan. I’m also a blogger. Do you know of a site for bloggers to review audiobooks?

I guess audible is the best choice – at least that I know of. You can separately rate the book and the audiobook experience!

I love audiobooks too. My question for you is how do you listen to audiobooks in the bath? Do you use headphones or have your iphone set up nearby?

Oh I meant like “ARCs” in the print world. Authors/publishers who offer audiobooks in return for a review

Oh sorry! Yes you should get in contact with Harper, Hachette and Random House Penguin – I know that they are providing audiobooks for review!

I am not yet that comfortable with audiobooks because my attention easily slips away and I had to rewind a lot lol But because school’s coming again, I might try again because it would be a good way to read while driving to school. 🙂

Audiobooks are the only reason I ever clean! I really love anything Katherine Kellgren narrates and I would also recommend Moira Quick as a narrator, I believe she does Gail Carriger’s books on audio. 🙂

I know, I know. I need to try audiobooks again. My first experience years ago was not wonderful and I got bored. But…but…okay. I’m caving. Now, what to read first?

The Darynda Jones Audiobooks are phenomenal!!!! Truly, I listened to the whole Charley Davidson series on audio and will always do so because it’s just amazing!
Also, we talked about Bloodlines right? I also love these on audio!
Or, super funny – did you ever read the YA series from Sherrylin Kennyon – Chronicles of Nick? Fantastic series and fantastic audiobooks!

Thank you thank you thank you for this post (and comment)!
I listened to two books and didn’t like the narrators, and I’m pretty sure it impacted my thoughts on the books themselves. I hope to have a better experience next time. I have two audible credits so I want to use them wisely — thanks for the recommendations!

You know I’m not much of an audiobook girl – too impatient given how long they are, but I can’t wait to read Rebel Belle! I adored My Life Next Door and can’t wait to read Huntley’s next one. I think I Hunt Killers might traumatize me though. Serial killers? *curls into fetal ball*

I really loved the audio version of These Broken Stars. The characters were both great but the interviews at the beginning of each chapter had sound effects and an older guy doing the interrogator part. It was a great one for listening on audio book!!

Hey Kat, I just wanted to leave a comment on your blog, but it didn’t work for some reason!
Anyway, just wanted to let you know!
I loved These Broken Stars but haven’t listen to the audio and instead read the book! Maybe I should get the next one as an audio?

I love the Jasper Dent series (I Hunt Killers and Game). Charlie Thurston does an awesome job with the narration. The Unknown Assassin (Boy Nobody/I Am the Weapon) series by Allen Zadoff is a great choice if you can’t wait for the third audiobook to come out.

Let me know what you think after you’re done. I loved it!
It was great seeing at BEA as well. It’s sad that it’s only a yearly event.

I definitely plan to read Rebel Belle – I picked it up at her signing when she was on tour. I hope I like it as much as you did!

The audiobook is in production for my first book and I’m so excited! Every time I listen to her submissions to approve I squeal a little. A good audiobook can go so far!!
When mine is done I’ll send you a free one and you can let me know what you think!

My Life Next Door is a favorite of mine! I also really liked My Life Next Door. Unfortunately, I haven’t read any of the others. I’ve had my eye on I Hunt Killers, though! Audiobooks are not for me, so I would most likely read these books instead of listening to them. Thank you for the recommendations!

I’m not into audiobooks but I’ve read the books by Lyga and Fitzpatrick and Rebel Belle is in my TBR pile.
You said the last I Hunt Killers book, that means it’s only a trilogy? I didn’t know that and am so upset! The story and MC are so unique (love, love, LOVE Jasper!) that I was hoping we’d get a few more books from the author!

Hm I was somehow under the impression that the next one would be the last?? If not, I would be thrilled!! I tried to find out more but I didn’t – so I’m hoping I got it wrong :)))

Ooh! I listened to the audiobook of My Life Next Door earlier this year and loved it. Even though I prefer to read print books/ebooks because it’s faster, I did like how the audiobook slowed down the pace for My Life Next Door, which meant more time with the Garretts! 😀
