Annie Fleet, master scuba diver and history buff, knows she can’t fight her nerd status as a freshman at her Los Angeles private school. And she doesn’t care—except for the fact that her crush, Josh, thinks she’s more adorable than desirable. Annie is determined to set him straight on their school trip to Mexico. But her teacher has other plans: he needs Annie to help him find Cortez’s lost-long treasure.
Suddenly, Annie finds herself scuba diving in pitch-black waters, jetting to Hawaii with Josh, and hunting for the priceless Golden Jaguar. But Annie and Josh aren’t the only ones lured by the possibility of finding the greatest treasure ever lost at sea. Someone else wants the gold—and needs Annie dead. In deeper danger than she ever imagined, can Annie get the boy and find the Jaguar, or is she in over her head?
Critically-acclaimed author Coert Voorhees delivers breathtaking romance and non-stop action in his newest novel, the spirited and captivating In Too Deep
Looking alone at the cover, this book screams summer and adventure at me. Then seeing that this is published by Disney I knew I was up for an amazing adventure with a cinematic story! Woot!Â
Â
Scuba Diving – Treasures – Danger
This story is such an amazing and exciting adventure! We follow Annie and some of her classmates to Mexico where they end up treasure hunting! And, whoever already saw a movie – treasure hunting always attracts some shy people! Sure enough, very fast Annie finds herself in some very dangerous situations and now needs to be super careful to stay alive! The story was just incredibly well-developed and described and I found myself looking up a few of these amazing locations Annie has to go in order to find the Golden Jaguar. The story was action packed and the treasure hunt was smartly played
Coert Voorhess managed to completely suck me into this story and I was compelled and engrossed like a little kid watching a christmas tree. My iPhone was my constant companion, ready to look yet again an exotic location.
Annie! Big Dreams and Heart on the right place!
Annie was very adventurous even though you first thought she was kind of a nerdy girl. But, there was so much more to Annie! She was brave and she had big dreams and wanted to follow them! Loved Annie so bad! I loved he utter cuteness when talking about her all time crush Josh. There were some really awkward movements, which I actually found absolutely endearing!
“It’s on the schedule”, I said, pointing at it, as if to put the cherry on top of my awkwardness”Â
There were a lot of moments like this which made me smile so big! These parts actually were like the cherry on top of an already awesome story – loved Annie’s voice!!
I also completely and utterly loved the relationship she had with her parents and her best friend. There was so much love and it was easy to feel the love between them!
I want a movie!!!
This book is written like a movie! While reading ,I was constantly trying to visualize the scenery. It was just perfect to completely get lost  in a fantastic tale. Coert Voorhess is incredibly talented to create a tale that is action filled with incredibly flashed out and endearing characters. I want to see this story on the big screen so bad!!!
Bewitched Rating
Bottom Line
In Too Deep by Coert Voorhees was a wonderfully thrilling, compelling and endearing treasure adventure with lots of danger, friendship and love. I have nothing to complain other than I desperately want to know about the next adventure from Annie! So, spread the word so that more people hear about this summer read á la Disney!

I rarely rarely DNF a book. I was so excited about this one too because I have friends who dive and like this kind of adventure but I felt like it jumped too quickly into the quest and all these technicalities of what they were doing without giving me any kind of foundation. I also didn’t love the main character’s voice.
I’m really glad to hear that you liked it though! I know that it will definitely find its audience.

This sounds good but I tend to shy away from books where the MC is fourteen (which is what most freshman are), as it’s just a bit too young for me.

I have been browsing on-line more than three hours
these days, yet I never discovered any attention-grabbing article like yours.
It is pretty value enough for me. Personally, if all webmasters and bloggers made excellent content material as you probably did, the net will likely be much more helpful than ever before.
