Yes, it’s crazy but true – The Bewitched Bookworms are having a blogiversary: We’re turning 3!
So we – Heather, Pushy and Danny – decided to celebrate this with you.
In the first part of our celebration, Heather, Pushy, and Danny shared what they love about being a Bewitched Bookworm, and in the second part we talked about the Blogs that we love deeply. Today, we want to talk about the Authors that we love to pieces and we might (or might not) have already met!
Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl
Beautiful Creatures was one of the first books we all read and fell deeply in love with after our Twilight obsession. So, these books will always have a special place in our heart. Even more, we hosted our first Book Discussion of Epicness back then when we just started.
Pushy here! I just wanted to say I was so crazy nervous when I attended this event so many years ago! It was the first time I met Heather, the first time I met Margi and Kami, and the first time I attended an author event. Then I showed up and everything was so perfect!!! Heather was of course my lovely perfect Heather and Margi and Kami were just as warm and kind and real as they are in their writing!!
Over the past few years, we’ve been lucky enough to meet up with them a couple of times, we even got to join Kami and some other amazing authors for a meal last year. It’s such an amazing experience to get to meet these authors we love in such an up close and personal fashion and all of that has been because of the amazing Anderson’s Bookshop!!
JL Bryan
He was the first self published author we accepted for review and ever since, he has been a constant face on our blog. Jeff is incredibly fun and he is a fantastic writer – so we are excited to watch him grow as an author and see so many people excited about his books. You can even find a CDC doctor named after Heather and Pushy in Jeff’s Paranormals series.
We will all always remember when Pushy crowned Jeff – Prince of Pestilence.. *giggles*
Katie McGarry
Although we met Katie only recently at last year’s BEA, we fell deeply in love with her. Funny enough, we had a chance to meet her and Julie Kagawa very privately the evening before BEA at their hotel. (Read all about it here) Instantly, we clicked! We talked and talked and talked and it was simply amazing!
Wendy Higgins
This is a little personal note from Danny: Wendy became so dear to my heart! When I read her book Sweet Evil I was so in love that I contacted her about doing an Interview. Ever since we have been in contact and I was feeling so very sad when there was a time last year when the sequel was up in the Air. When Wendy then added my name to her book, not only in the acknowledgments but also as a tiny character in her book, I was so touched and teared up so much!
Clearly, this was one hell of a magic moment I will never ever forget!!!
Anna Banks
Pushy and Heather had the opportunity to attend a signing where the lovely Anna Banks was one of the authors. Danny is a megafan of the funny, snarky, and brilliant Anna, and when we got books signed to give away, we made sure to get a picture taken with Anna just for Danny. (How damn cute was that!?)
And now we need to add a section which has nothing to do with Authors but all to do with the work “behind the scenes” Public Relation WonderWomen who always make our day by sending books, packages, or inviting us to Blog Tour. Without you girls Book Blogging would be not as much fun!
Big Bewitched Thanks to

Katie McGarry, L.B. Simmons, A.L. Jackson, C.J. Roberts, J.A. Redmerski, Kristen Hannah, Sarah Dessen, Jodi Piccoult, Michelle Leighton and Jessica Sorrensen are just a few of my favorite authors.
I am always impressed and amazed by authors because I adore the fact that they have the ambition to put themselves and their work out their for everyone. They take the good and the bad and what is impressive is when they continue to plug on with their writing and only continue to get better. Their imagination shared in their books gives so many people enjoyment that I think they really are inspiring to those of us who love the worlds they create.

LOVE THIS SO MUCH YOU GUYS!!! You’ve gotten to meet some AMAZING authors:):) Katie McGarry is supposed to be coming to Columbus next month and I pretty much did a happy dance when I found out. Luckily, working from home means the only ones around to witness were the dogs and they already know I’m weird. Jeff was one of the first self-published authors I read as well and I adore him! And don’t even get me started on my love for Wendy Higgins. She’s the best:)

Thanks for the mention! I didn’t know I was your first self-published author, but Bewitched Bookworms was the first blog to feature Jenny Pox! 🙂 (Followed closely by Supernatural Snark!)

I would love to meet Laini Taylor or John Green. I haven’t ever reviewed their books because I can’t find the words to say what I want to about their writing so I’d probably stand there and say nothing but I’d love to hear them talk. And my youngest son is such a fan of the Vlog brothers, he even got his Humanities teacher to use some of their quick history lesson vlogs in class. And Laini Taylor’s imagination just astounds me. Oh and Gayle Forman! I tried to review Just One Day. That’s the only one I’ve ever tried to review. All of them take my words away!
