Time Between Us
Anna and Bennett were never supposed to meet: she lives in 1995 Chicago and he lives in 2012 San Francisco. But Bennett has the unique ability to travel through time and space, which brings him into Anna’s life, and with him a new world of adventure and possibility.
As their relationship deepens, the two face the reality that time may knock Bennett back to where he belongs, even as a devastating crisis throws everything they believe into question. Against a ticking clock, Anna and Bennett are forced to ask themselves how far they can push the bounds of fate, what consequences they can bear in order to stay together, and whether their love can stand the test of time.
“Fresh, exciting, and deeply romantic, Time Between Us is a stunning, spellbinding debut from an extraordinary new voice in YA fiction.” How can I not want to read this one???
Time Travel – When Love knows no Time
I love Time Travel stories ever since I read “The Outlander” by Diana Gabaldon! There is something utterly romantic and beautiful about Time Travel love stories that melt my heart. What if your soul mate simply lives in a different time? That’s why I wanted to read Anna and Bennet’s story. Interestingly, they are not so far apart from each other – only 17 years! More intriguing for me personally, Anna is a 16 year old girl in 1995, which … exactly is how old I was in 1995…
Beautiful Love
Time Between Us is most of all a beautiful love story, of two teens that find each other even though they are 17 years apart. But, Bennet can time travel and is stuck in Anna’s time frame. Reluctant at first, both fall for each other, there is just no denying that those two belong to each other. Even though, Bennet knows he cannot stay – but sometimes love is simply stronger!
Wonderful genuine characters
It was easy to connect to both Anna and Bennet. I loved both very easily, they were such adorable characters! Also, it was wonderful to follow them fall for each other and grew with their circumstances. It was just easy to see how good they were for each other! But Tamara Stone also created some wonderful flashed out secondary characters that supported the story beautifully. Anna and Bennet were both strong characters but not over the top, they were just like you and me and just perfectly genuine and real.
Time Travel – Rules and Endings…
The physics behind Bennet’s ability to travel was never truly explained, it just was. However, this didn’t matter as the focus was the romance and connection between Anna and Bennet. Sometimes with Time Travel the rules are hard to grasp, so here we didn’t even try to understand as it was not a main focus. Personally, I would have liked a little more explanations and background. The ending, despite being beautiful irked me a little. But, now that I have heard about the sequel I feel much better about it. (It’s still a rumor!!) The ending comes very fast and leaves you with too many open questions!
Bewitched Rating
Bottom Line
Time Between Us by Tamara Ireland Stone was a beautiful love story about a love that knows no borders and time. We find wonderful characters that feel perfectly genuine and are easy to adore and connect. With a little more background on the time travel and a few less open questions it would have been a solid 5 stars.
Time between Us
UNABRIDGED | by Tamara Ireland Ston |Narrated by Amy Rubinate | LENGTH 9 hrs and 6 mins
The audiobook was perfectly paced and Amy Rubinate brought all characters to live easily! I hate when narrators speak too slow or fast, but Amy Runinate has the perfect pace for narration! Her voice was soft, yet brought some edge to the male voices! If you love audiobooks, I can fully recommend Time Between Us!

I’ve had this ARC sitting at home since September, but haven’t read it yet. I was a little scared to. It sounded so much like The Time Traveler’s Wife, which I only moderately liked. But, like you, I ADORE Outlander, so I always try to give time travel books a chance. Sounds like maybe I should bump this up on my to-read pile.

I’m just not the biggest fan of time travel romances, for some reason. But this one sounds interesting and I like to hear that the dialogue and narration are paced well (so hard to read when it’s choppy or too fast/slow).

I can’t wait to read this one! I got it in October when I met the author and heard more about it and it’s at the top of my pile to read so hopefully it will be soon! I was a teen in the 90’s too so I’m definitely excited about that! Awesome review!

I think the only time travel love story I have read is The Time Traveller’s Wife, but I enjoyed that well enough and look forward to giving this one a shot too. Brilliant review!

Have you read the Time Traveler’s Wife? I loved it. I still need to read Outlander series. This book does sound right up my alley although the lack of explanation of the time traveling mechanism would bug me too.

Okay, unless I have my HEA in a book that was focused on the love story then I don’t want to read it, unless…..there will absolutely be a sequel. And I think those details should be hammered out before book one has gone to print or audio! It changes everything! I’ll wait to see if their is a sequel. Only Romeo and Juliet should have a tragic ending.
