Curtis Sittenfeld’s PREP meets THE SIXTH SENSE in this spine-tingling, unforgettable debut.
Camden Fisher arrives at boarding school haunted by a falling-out with her best friend back home. But the manicured grounds of Lethe Academy are like nothing Cam has ever known. There are gorgeous, preppy boys wielding tennis rackets, and circles of girls with secrets to spare. Only . . . something is not quite right. One of Cam’s new friends mysteriously disappears, but the teachers don’t seem too concerned. Cam wakes up to strangers in her room, who then melt into the night. She is suddenly plagued by odd memories, and senses there might be something dark and terrible brewing. But what? The answer will leave Cam–and readers–stunned and breathless, in this thrilling debut novel.
Ah that sounds mysterious and awesome! Plus I LOVE boarding school books! Lately, I haven’t seen them around so much… In fact, I cannot recall the last boarding school book I read?! It’s time…
Much Love,

You had me at sixth sense. I loved that movie and I love books that are set in academies. Thanks for sharing 🙂

What is it about YA books that take place in boarding schools/exclusively private academies/prep schools? One of my guilty pleasures, and I haven’t read one in awhile, so I guess I’m about due. Can’t seem to pass them up. And the cover is appropriately mysterious and slightly gothic.
Sigh… adding it to my growing virtual mountain of to-be-reads… 😉

Starling was a good boarding school book I read this year. With the Fenrys Wolf showing up in all his glory completely naked and killing all the weird monsters. Viking mythology. Actually it was a school for all they mythologies. Or the offspring of they different mythologies. You need to read it.
This one looks amazing and a little bit scary. I’d be needing to sleep with the lights on, have a flashlight and a bottom floor so I could duck out the window when people show up in my room during the night. I am not brave, at all! You know in the scary movies when the girl goes into the basement? That would not be me! You need to read this one and tell me the scary parts. (in an email of course we don’t want to ruin it for others).
