Bad Hair Day
Senior year is positively hair-raising.
Kate Grable is geeked out to shadow the county medical examiner as part of her school’s pre-med program. Except when he’s arrested for murder, she’s left with the bodies. And when Kate’s brother Jonah stumbles upon a dead gamer girl, she realizes that the zombie epidemic she cured last fall was only the beginning of the weirdness taking over her town. Someone’s murdering kids—something really hairy. And strong. Possibly with claws.
Is it werewolf awesomeness like Jonah and his dorktastic friends think? Kate’s supposed to be a butt-kicking zombie killing genius…but if she can’t figure out who’s behind the freakish attacks, the victims—or what’s left of them—are going to keep piling up.
It’s scary. It’s twisted. It’s sick. It’s high school.
Bad Hair Day  is the second book by Carrie Harris and her adorbale smart heroine Kate! The first book “Bad Taste In Boys” was so much fun that I was excited to hear about “Bad Hair Day” and spend some more time with Kate and her super/paranormal problems!
Dead people and a hairy problem.
Unlike Zombies in Bad Taste in Boys, Kate now has a very hairy problem. Oh and apparently claws also play a role here too! Kate spends some time in a hospital with a Pathologist when strange things happen and it’s again up to Kate to solve the problem! Of course, Kate is not the girl who stands on the sideline when she can very well use her brain to some a mystery no one else seems to care about
Kate – adorkable heroine extraordinaire
I.Love.Kate! She’s smart, sassy, feisty and so so so adorkable! She’s truly my favorite geeky heroine! She has a strong personality and never really cared so much what other things of her! She’s driven and super smart, she not only knows that she embraces it!
But Kate is not the only character I love in these books. Â Kate’s boyfriend is the picture boyfriend until other girls hit on him hard! But Kate wouldn’t be Kate if she would simply stand beside and watch what happens! Kate has spark and Kate is not about to give him up! That girl fights! YaY Kate!
Hilarious, scientific and geeky
The plot was fast paced, mysterious and we were eager to solve the mystery behind the sudden appearance of werewolves! But I couldn’t say it any better than from the synopsis:
Is it werewolf awesomeness like Jonah and his dorktastic friends think? Kate’s supposed to be a butt-kicking zombie killing genius…
Seriously, this sentence alone tells you everything you need to know about the hilarious voice of Carrie Harris! She clearly loves the geek and creates with Kate a kick-ass character that every geek in us will love!!
Bewitched Rating
Bottom Line
Bad Hair Day was everything I wished for! Fun, a little romantic, some kissing, a lot of nerd alarm and tons of geek love! I personally cannot get enough from Kate! Carrie Harris rocks the Geek!

Yay for heroines who fight back! Eesh that boyfriend thing makes me a bit wary but I’m glad Kate doesn’t take it. Great review, Danny! <3
