Relic Master Series Tour Stop and Give-Away!

Posted 25 July, 2011 by Danny in / 41 Comments

Last April, I was lucky enough to share my thoughts about The Dark City, the first book in Catherine Fisher’s Relic Master quartet that has been publishing throughout this summer.

And in the months since then, following three books have received one amazing review after another on Goodreads. So, it is with great pleasure, as we near the release date of the fourth and final book, that we host the series here on the Bookworms today! First, let’s start with their synopses:

Synopsis from Goodreads

Welcome to Anara, a world mysteriously crumbling to devastation, where nothing is what it seems: Ancient relics emit technologically advanced powers, members of the old Order are hunted by the governing Watch yet revered by the people, and the great energy that connects all seems to also be destroying all. The only hope for the world lies in Galen, a man of the old Order and a Keeper of relics, and his sixteen-year-old apprentice, Raffi. They know of a secret relic with great power that has been hidden for centuries. As they search for it, they will be tested beyond their limits. For there are monsters ~some human, some not~ that also want the relic’s power and will stop at nothing to get it.

Synopsis from Goodreads

Even though Tasceron and its Emperor have fallen, there is a rumor that the heiress to the throne still lives. If so, her life is in grave danger, especially from the Watch. Galen and Raffi must race to find and protect her.

Synopsis from Goodreads

The coronet, a potent ancient relic, might be the only way to defeat the power that is destroying Anara. But it has been lost for centuries, and only legend tells of its whereabouts. Will Galen and Raffi be able to find it before the Watch does?

Synopsis from Goodreads

Galen and Raffi’s quest has brought them to the Pits of Maar. There, below the surface of the world, in the deepest darkness, a most evil thing is waiting for them to come.

  1. I've seen a lot of hype for these books floating around the blogosphere over the past little while, and it's got me really interested in reading these books. Thanks for the giveaway; it's very cool for us frozen Canadians to get a chance! 🙂 (And by "frozen", I of course mean "dying in the heat wave that's hit most of the continent this past week." :p)

  2. I keep seeing these books and really want to buy them. If it's nice outside and not too hot, I like to curl up in my hammock outside for hours. With the weather like it has been lately, then it's the chair in my bedroom. ____Thanks

I would love to win this set! It has been on my wish list for months. As a kid my favorite summer place to curl up with a book was on top of the haystack. It was my own little world in the sky – and it smelled fantastic!Nowadays it is inside with the AC blasting. Usually on the sofa in my office. Thank you for the great giveaway,Jules

  7. Ooh, I haven't heard of this series before, but those blurbs sound fantastic! I definitely will be adding these to my TBR pile!

As for my favorite place to curl up…probably at a coffee shop on a comfortable sofa. It used to be in front of my fireplace on a cold or rainy day, but now that I'm in Florida…well, the *last* thing we need is more heat!

    Smiles!

If it is nice weather then I like to read outside on the swing. But most of the time I usually read in the bed. Thank you for the chance to win!

  9. The complete set would be awesome! I loved her other books so I can't wait to read these ones.

I have several favorite places to read. I love to sit outside in the yard and have a chair sitting under a tree that's always in the shade. I love reading out there even though there's no curling up involved. I also like to sit in our 'formal' living room which is really only used for me and the couch is super long and I like laying on it and reading because since the tv is in the family room people mostly leave me alone. Plus I don't have the TV distracting me. There are two comfy chairs in there as well that are huge and I can curl up in them as well. Since I have kids I pretty much read anywhere and everywhere in my house though 😉

My favorit place to curl up with a good book is the living room sofa. it's really hot and the air conditioner blows right at the sofa.

  12. In my backyard, there are an array of trees with long branches and flower bushes that shade me from the hot sunlight. It's a very cool, very relaxing place. I'm glad it's in the backyard, and not in the front…they would cut it down…anyways, I always have a cup of strawberry-lemonade or cold water next to me while I read. It's the only place where I can feel more at peace.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THE GIVEAWAY!! C:

I like to sit in front of a fan, which of course is blowing the AC around! And laid out on the couch, after the kids go to bed 🙂

I like to curl up with a good book infront of a fan with some cool iced tea on a hot summer day. Since it doesn't get too crazy hot where I live, a fan and a cool drink is usually enough to keep cool 🙂

I have to main places for summer reading. 1) Inside my room with the air conditioning on. 2) Sitting in the hammock by the pool. Being at the beach this week I have claimed a spot under the pier for a nice, cool reading spot. 🙂
