Wings of the Wicked (Angelfire #2) by Courtney Allison Moulton

Isn’t the cover gorgeous???

Life as the Preliator is harder than Ellie ever imagined.
Balancing real life with the responsibility of being Heaven’s warrior is a challenge for Ellie. Her relationship with Will has become all business, though they both long for each other. And now that the secret of who she really is has come out, so have Hell’s strongest reapers. Grown bold and more vicious, the demonic threaten her in the light of day and stalk her in the night.

She’s been warned.
Cadan, a demonic reaper, comes to her with information about Bastian’s new plan to destroy Ellie’s soul and use an ancient relic to wake all the souls of the damned and unleash them upon humanity. As she fights to stay ahead of Bastian’s schemes , the revelations about those closest to her awaken a dark power within Ellie that threatens to destroy everything—including herself.

She’ll be betrayed.
Treachery comes even from those whom she loves, and Ellie is broken by the deaths of those who stood beside her in this Heavenly war. Still, she must find a way to save the world, herself, and her love for Will. If she fails, there will be hell to pay.

Last year when I read Angelfire I fell in love! Such an incredible story a kick ass heroine and a boy to swoon over. I can’t wait to get my hands on this sequel and I hope to find out that it can life up to the first one! Please, now!

But I admit I’m not a huge fan of the cover, it doesn’t feel special enough….

So, now tell me what you are waiting for!!

Much Love,

I haven't read the first one yet but I might read it soon, one problem with me is that I have too many series that needs to be read gaaah! Awesome pick!

OMG I am sooooo excited about this bpoke realease. The first book was so good. Although I agree that the cover disapoints. But to be honest the first cover could have been better too I think.

  3. Danny-

I loved the first in the series. I remember how much I loved it. But one of the things about having to wait so long for the sequel is that I lose interest in the sequel when there are so many other books out there I want to read. I'm kind of like that with this one. I remember loving it and thinking Ellie was such a great female character. But now, I'm just so-so. I just wish publishers wouldn't wait so long to publish the sequels. I'm sure once I start reading reviews my excitement will grow, but until then, I'm just not excited.

I'm sure you're review will get me excited!

    • Sweetie, you totally have a point here and I agree with you on every point. I hate waiting forever… and a year is long and often during this time, I just don't care enough anymore to go on.

And, I know how it feels when you can read one book after the other, bam-bam-BAM! There is nothing better. Even waiting a few month is ok, but one year?

In the end it's only the reaaallyyy good books where I'm dying for the sequel. Oh and ..back to the point, Angelfire belongs in my list of "not willing to sacrifice".

      *hugs*

  4. Hmm, it's weird but when I stopped by your blog earlier, I didn't see your Google Friends Connect gadget, so I only followed you on Twitter. Now I'm following on GFC as well 😉

Thanks for stopping by my blog too 🙂
