I mean to write a review, but got totally sidetracked by this great blog post here. For those of you kick starting some New Year resolutions, or just like some funny prose, this is for you! I totally stalked the rest of her blog (loling on her cats and sillies), and that made me wonder, has anyone read Joshilyn Jackson books? Because her blog is completely cracking me up!
a grown-up kind of pretty
by Joshilyn Jackson
A GROWN-UP KIND OF PRETTY is a powerful saga of three generations of women, plag
ued by hardships and torn by a devastating secret, yet inextricably joined by the bonds of family. Fifteen-year-old Mosey Slocumb-spirited, sassy, and on the cusp of womanhood-is shaken when a small grave is unearthed in the backyard, and determined to figure out why it’s there. Liza, her stroke-ravaged mother, is haunted by choices she made as a teenager. But it is Jenny, Mosey’s strong and big-hearted grandmother, whose maternal love braids together the strands of the women’s shared past–and who will stop at nothing to defend their future
.
So, anyone? Anyone? I would love to hear what you think? Maybe I can contact the author and do a virtual blog tour!

Never heard of her but I kind of love that cover! The green is so eye catching! I think an authors blog gives us a good idea of whether we'd like their writing. Not always, but if they write humorous stories then we can get an idea of their kind of humor, etc. I'll go check hers out now 😉 Thanks for sharing!

I haven't read any works by Joshilyn Jackson, but thank you for posting a link to her blog. It is hilarious, and I am trying my hardest not to laugh out loud lest I disturb my cat napping…cat.
