It is written that three Sisters of Fate have the power to change the world's destiny. But only if they survive…
The Lockwood triplets have had the prophecy drummed into their heads since birth. Still, Raven, the eldest of the sisters, can't believe it's really happening. She's the reincarnation of a Norse goddess? One of the sisters is destined to die? When it starts snowing in summer in Florida, the sisters fear the worst has come to pass. Ragnarok, the Norse end of the world, has begun.
Raven finds herself the secret protector of Vanir, a boy with two wolves, a knowledge of Norse magic and a sense of destiny he can't quite explain. He's intense, sexy and equally determined to save her when it becomes clear someone is endangering them. Raven doesn't know if getting closer to him will make a difference in the coming battle, but her heart isn't giving her a choice.
Ahead of the sisters is the possibility of death at the hand of a warrior, death by snow, death by water or death by fire.Or even from something else…
Sisters of FateThe prophecy doesn't lie: one is doomed to die.
Young Adult Paranormal is still my favorite genre, and when it then comes with something so rarely used as Norse Mythology I’m just instantly hooked!
Sisters of Fate, Thor – Odin and More – Welcome to our world!
Norse Mythology is ancient and comes with some great gods and myths. And I love how Rinda Elliott has takes all this and incorporated into a contemporary setting. The basic idea is that modern day kids have been born with the souls of the old gods and that at some point – Ragnarok, or the end of the world or the apocalypse will begin. These are the perfect ingredients for an amazing story that brings out heroes and has room for love!
Raven with her Sisters have the souls of The Sisters of Fate and can predict Future, Past and the Now – but also, they apparently play a big role in Ragnarok and one of them is supposed to die. Their mother desperately wanted to prevent this and goes to hunt down possible heroes who might be a threat to her girls.
But these girls, don’t want anyone to die by their mothers hand and so Raven goes and finds the first hero to protect him!
Lovely Romance with an action packed story!
The romance between Raven and Vanir was oh so lovely, but also hot and sexy! Their connection was a little too fast too intense for my liking, but that didn’t take away the excitement over this story much!
Vanir is the perfect swoon worthy, kick ass hero with a smirk that melts our hearts. Absolutely fell head over heels for him. And Raven is such a strong and determined heroine and together they first just perfectly!
But besides the wonderful romance, the action packed storyline is also pretty damn amazing and there weren’t many dull moments in this book. It’s one of these stories that you’ll have a hard time putting down, as things happen so fast that it’s hard to catch a breath. The whole mythology and end of the world feeling was just heart ponding and the action was kick ass and thrillingly intense!

I love Norse mythology, though it’s a bit grim and, well, apocalyptic. While I’m not a fan of the cover (does the girl look really snooty or is it just me), what’s inside sounds good!

YAY! You know I loved this one too Danny! I agree, the connection between them was a bit instant, but I seem to be more forgiving of that in supernatural stories where some of it can be explained away in the context of the world. Like you, it didn’t bother me overmuch and I was a fan of both Raven and Vanir. Can’t wait for Coral’s story next!
