Lenah Beaudonte should be dead. But having sacrificed herself to save another, she finds herself awakening with strange powers that are neither vampire nor human—and a new enemy on her trail. In her vampire life, Lenah had thought that being human was all she ever wanted; but the human heart suffers pain, heartbreak and loss.
With her new powers growing and the dark force of the Nex after her soul, Lenah faces a choice: between the mortal love of gorgeous Justin, whose passion fed her human soul, and taking a different path to become the mistress of her own destiny, wherever that may lead…
How damn long have I been waiting for this book? It truly seems like forever! Ever since I read “Infinite Days” , the first book I was mesmerized and hooked. I loved this book so much, that the wait for the sequel became unbearable!
Lenah – confused, yet powerful Vampire Queen
One of the most fascinating aspects of these books is definitely Lenah. Before, she was a cruel Vampire Queen who wanted to “feel” again and did everything to become human again. In this process the love of her life Rhode sacrificed everything for her. After all those twist and turns in book one, Lenah now is finally back being human – but it’s not as easy as she hoped. All those emotions crushing down on her and on us, leaves her slightly confused. She doesn’t really know what to do to be happy, which is why she hangs her hopes on the human boy Justin…
Emotions – Twist – Turns – Tears
Just like in “Infinite Days” “Stolen Nigths” was spiced with emotions, the good and the bad ones – and this is by far my favorite aspect of these books. There is a lot of heartbreak who will get the easy-cryer to tear up, and there is a lot of frustration with Lenah but also all the other characters. Yelling at the book was something that seems to come natural when reading Stolen Nights!
But who stirred my emotions like no other is and will always be Rhode! Oh boy how I love this Vampire with so much heart and love. I fiercely missed him in Infinite Days so I was thrilled to see that he got more “screen time” here!
Heartbreaking and Frustrating Ending
Truthfully, the ending deserves its own paragraph as it left me speechless and my mouth wide open. I couldn’t believe it. Schock, Tears, and a lot of frustration left me in a state of sheer desperation. Again, yelling at the book was in order but didn’t help much. The only thing that helped was when I heart that there would be another book. Then, I could finally be completely angry with Lenah and leave my heart broken until I hope it’s going to be repaired in book 3.
Bewitched Rating
Bottom Line
Stolen Nights by Rebecca Maizel is filled with frustration, twists, turns  and lots of heartfelt emotions. It’s a worthy sequel to a phenomenal first book – Infinite Days – and despite my anger and frustration with Lenah and her decisions, I truly loved this book! I can highly recommend it to all who love good emotions, vampires and a great, epic story!

I just finished this last night. Wow! I enjoyed the first book, but this one was so much better. I am in love with Rhode. I never liked Justin and I’m so happy that Rhode played a role in this book. Plus, Vicken is hilarious. The main thing that bugged me about the first book was all the stereotypical high school drama. This had much less of that.

Alison!!! So excited to hear you loved this one as much as I did!! It ws phenomenal right? And Rhode was my favorite character too. I remember crying like hell when he died in the first book in the first pages… I was like “Seriously? He’s dead?”.
I hope we won’t have to wait soo long for Book 3..

The first book was published a long time ago, I think it took the author nearly 2 years to publish the sequel. Too bad, because these books are truly amazing but lost a little of the excitement due to the long wait. But, it’s absolutely worth it – a little different from the usual Vampire books, but still has all the elements of Vampire lore which I love! Hope you check them out!

Yeah, I’ve tried yelling at books with crazy-wild endings but nothing seems to change. The next book in the series doesn’t magically appear in my hands; the ending doesn’t change. *sigh*
Yay for an amazing follow-up, despite your broken heart.

LOOL, yes yelling is really not helping… I still try though!!
And I’m fine with being made and brokenhearted, but it has to be put together at the end!

I’m nervous about this ending (I know I can react pretty strongly to things like that!), but I’ve heard great things about this series and can’t wait to meet Rhode and Lenah soon. I was recently gifted a copy of Infinite Days in fact, so I hope to make a start soon. 🙂 Great review!

DANNY I MISSED YOU!!!!! I hope your trip was amazing:)
Can we talk about Rhode for a minute? *dies of love for him* I was such an emotional mess reading this book, I just wanted to reach in and wrap around him and never let go. And the end? *sobs* The only thing that makes it better is that we are getting another book, and Rebecca told me on Twitter we’d get lots of Rhode in book 3. WIN!

Oh, I love this series! It sort of flies under the radar, but it’s so good and more people should read it, really! I loved the ending of this one – so shocking and I can’t wait to find out what happens next.
Justin Enos really annoyed me in the first book, so yeah, ha!
