Waiting on Wednesday {50}

“Waiting on” Wednesday is hosted weekly by Jill at Breaking the Spine.

Today, I’d like to share one book I’m super duper excited about ever since I first heard of it last year when I was at BEA!

The Selection

Book I in The Selection series!

Publication: April 24th 2012 by HarperTeen
Pre-order your own: amazon (Paperback, Kindle) | B&N | IndieBound

Gosh isn’t his cover the most beautiful cover you’ve seen?

For thirty-five girls, the Selection is the chance of a lifetime. The opportunity to escape the life laid out for them since birth. To be swept up in a world of glittering gowns and priceless jewels. To live in the palace and compete for the heart of the gorgeous Prince Maxon.

But for America Singer, being Selected is a nightmare. It means turning her back on her secret love with Aspen, who is a caste below her. Leaving her home to enter a fierce competition for a crown she doesn’t want. Living in a palace that is constantly threatened by violent rebel attacks.

Then America meets Prince Maxon. Gradually, she starts to question all the plans she’s made for herself- and realizes that the life she’s always dreamed of may not compare to a future she never imagined

Last year at BEA I met her at the Author Speedating and I loved her instantly, when she then talked about her book I was enthralled! It sounds absolutely great and seeing now this gorgeous cover I want to read it NOW!

I really hope it lives up to its promises!

Much love and Happy Wednesday!

And now, please tell me what you are waiting for this week!

  1. Truly Bookish

    I'm pretty sure I'll be reading this one, especially since they are shooting a pilot for a TV show based on it. Very curious about it. Great pick and I totally want that dress!_NC_Truly Bookish

  2. I was looking forward to this one as well. But then all this author-blogger drama happened and I didn’t really like Kiera Cass’s response. So, now I’m not sure anymore though it’s petty to judge a book by it’s author.
