Moving from Blogger to WordPress – how to do it the easy way!

Happy Holidays!

I guess you all saw already that the Bookworms moved recently from Blogger to WordPress. The reasons behind this were just the immense possibilities Wordpress offeres in comparison to blogger. We all loved our time with blogger, but we decided it was time to move on.

I didn’t want to do it myself, due to a lack of time and mainly because I was scared of loosing content! So I was looking for a service, but oh boy – most of them are crazy expensive!!! Like super duper expensive.

But then I found Blogelina and I didn’t trust my eyes when I saw the offer. $85 for the whole transfer including (!!!) 1 year of hosting on GoDaddy. Woot!

Also, Tanya was simply incredible and answered all my emails fast and took away most of my fears. The move itself was incredible fast, in 2 days everything was moved – posts, comments, tags and the layout! ( I know it looks different now, but she copied the layout we had before). She kept me informed during the whole process and then … suddenly everything was over and ready.

Feeds, Followers – nothing got lost during the process.

So, if you also plan on moving and don’t want to do it yourself, I can highly recommend Tanya at Blogelina!

Great Service, Awesome Price!

So, please have a look around – although this won’t be the layout we will stay with, we are about to do some layout changes next year, but we are still looking for the right designer- because for once I won’t do the new layout myself.

    I arrived very safely! *waves* Feed updates worked like a charm even after your move and I really love your new layout! It must have been quite nice having such great help! Looks like a pretty great service! I did a WHOLE lot of research before attempting the move and went in blind lol, but luckily it went awesome and I've even helped around six people to move over after that as well! I really hope you'll enjoy WP! 😀

    *waves* Welcome back!!! I'm glad to hear that everything also worked with the feed! *sighs in relief*
    I also did some research but for some reason I truly was way too scared to do it myself, and then when I found this awesome service from Blogelina I knew I would hire her. Best Choice!!

    I'm glad you like the new layout, but I'm not yet perfectly happy with it – but it will do for the time being. I really looove WordPress and I'm so happy to finally moved her!

    It's awesome to hear you had such great friends who helped you and hold your hand while moving! :-))
