Oooohhhh, YES!!! The week’s almost over and it’s time for a whole love of Blog Love and Networking!
Each week there is a new question to answer, which is fun and also helps to get to know each other better. This week’s question is from Aliyah from Des Absurités who asks:
What book are you most looking forward to seeing published in 2011? Why are you anticipating that book?
Oh for me this is SO easy….it’s the third book in the Caster Chronicles! I don’t even know the name of it yet, but having just finished re-reading the second book, Beautiful Darkness, along with all of you, I’m totally geared up for number 3 and more Ethan, Lena, Macon, Ridley and Link!
Thank you, Jen and Aliyah for the great question!
stopping by with the following question:
What is/was your favorite subject in school?
Oh boy! Into the way back machine for this one!! I’ve always loved school. In fact Fall is my favorite season because, among other reasons (crisp air, changing colors of the leaves, yadda, yadda, yadda), for me it symbolizes the beginning of the new school year and all it’s possibilities. But I haven’t been in school for sometime.
Anyway, my favorite subject has always been languages and my absolute favorite one is Latin. I had the best Latin teacher in high school, a great man who opened up the world of the Classics for me. That’s me. What about you?
So please stop by both Parajunky’s and Marie’s sites and see who else is out and about doing the book blog networking thing!
Finally, we’d love to take the opportunity to welcome all the new faces and the old ones too! *waves* Glad you are here and we hope you like it here at the Bewitched Bookworms.

Hey girlies! I'm dropping in to say hi! Oh, I've always wanted to study Latin. I like languages as well. Right now, I'm focusing on Spanish, but maybe in the future?
Have a great weekend!

Hi, Pushy! 🙂 I need to check out your audio book challenge! I actually haven't listened to ANY (other than part of HP on a road trip w/my hubby) but have been thinking it would be fun to get on the band wagon – reading AND getting things done would be great! 🙂 I just got an audio CD w/one of my review books, so maybe February will be my month to try it!
And wow, Latin! I've always wanted to learn that. I think understanding our own language is so much easier when you understand the Latin roots. I loved learning the roots of Anat/Phys terms in college. Maybe I can still learn it one day. 🙂

Hopping by – you had a busy week. Enjoy your weekend!

Wow, what a week you guys have had! Of course, I've been reading all about it (old follower).
I think it is really cool that you had the option to take Latin in high school. All we had was Spanish, French, and German. I took Spanish. I even took AP Spanish…but I'm definitely NOT fluent. Such a shame. *sigh*
Have a great weekend! I'll have my post up later today and I hope you'll be able to stop by!

Wow Latin?! That's awesome. I had spanish, and I was TERRIBLE at it. The verbs and all that just confused me! LOL I even sat next to a guy, that was obviously there for an easy A, he was hispanic, so naturally I copied off of him, and I still failed. LOL

Hopping through … I love Latin, though I only know bits and pieces of it and mostly I'm aware of it through my study of the sciences. I actually stopped by via the book blogger hop … but I think the study of languages is so fascinating.

The book I’m most expecting in 2011 is by an author I crossed off my “Favorite author” list.
He’s back on that list now.
Who’s the author? Raymond Feist? What’s the book? A Kindgom Besieged.
Hop on over to my website to read all about it – http://www.howardsherman.net

Definitely check it out! Danny's been having such fun coming up with badges and mini-challenges. I love it because I can sneak in extra book time while getting my laundry done. 😀
I love etymology and yes, Latin comes up a lot in Anat/Phys. The funny thing about Latin is that you'd be surprised how much you know intuitively because English has so many words derived from it.
Thanks for hopping by!!

Isn't it sad that after all that studying it sometimes just doesn't stick? My Latin is spotty at best now, but I adored studying it back in the day. I even traded my lunch period to take an extra Latin poetry class. Pushy=DORK!!! 🙂
Anyway, thanks for hopping by and have a great weekend!
