As you can tell from our weekly blog hopping, not only do we love books and blogging, we LOVE book bloggers! So when we found out about Book Blogger Appreciation Week, we knew it was for us!
Book Blogger Appreciation Week is a week long festival celebrating the community of book bloggers and their contribution to preserving a culture of literacy through book reviews and recommendations, reading reflections, and general bookish chat. BBAW also includes an awards component.
We’ve decided to classify ourselves in the Best Eclectic Book Blog niche because, while we clearly love us some YA, we also recommend non-YA books which might be too mature for all YA readers. We also entered ourselves in the Best Written Book Blog and Best New Book Blog categories.
As part of signing up for BBWA, we’ve been asked to select five posts for each niche/category that we think best reflect our blog. For our niche, Best Eclectic Book Blog, we’ve selected:
Review: Spooky Little Girl by Laurie Notaro
Review: The Iron King by Julie Kagawa
Our First Mystery Book Exchange Review
One of our FAVORITE Cutie’s Corner posts
For the Best Written Book Blog category we’ve selected:
Review: Spooky Little Girl by Laurie Notaro
Review: The Iron King by Julie Kagawa
Our First Mystery Book Exchange Review
One of our FAVORITE Cutie’s Corner posts
For the Best New Book Blog category we’ve selected:
Summer Book Contest!
Our most recent Blog Hop post
Our First Mystery Book Exchange Review
Book Signing and Review: All Unquiet Things by Anna Jarzab
We’ll definitely be posting again about BBWA as the date gets closer and we hope you’ll join us in checking out all of the amazing book blogs out there in the blogosphere. And good luck to all the blogs in all the different niches and categories!
