Book Birthday Shout Out

It’s Tuesday

which means a lot of awesome books are coming out today!

Among others : Spellcaster by Cara Lynn Shultz, Goddess Interrupted by Amiee Carter and…

Slide by Jill Hathaway! (Read my Review)

Slide was a thrilling and gripping ride. The mystery was suspenseful and the paranormal aspect great! With the addition of a sweet romance it was perfectly up my alley! Normally, I don’t like comparing – but Slide had everything I liked about The Wake series by Lisa McMann and The Body Finder series by Kimberly Derting. If you loved those books than you should pick up Slide!

Slide

Book I in the Slide  series
Genre: YA, Mystery, Suspense parnormal aspects
Publication: TODAY by Balzer + Bray for HarperCollins
Synopsis from goodreads

Vee Bell is certain of one irrefutable truth—her sister’s friend Sophie didn’t kill herself. She was murdered.Vee knows this because she was there. Everyone believes Vee is narcoleptic, but she doesn’t actually fall asleep during these episodes: When she passes out, she slides into somebody else’s mind and experiences the world through that person’s eyes. She’s slid into her sister as she cheated on a math test, into a teacher sneaking a drink before class. She learned the worst about a supposed “friend” when she slid into her during a school dance. But nothing could have prepared Vee for what happens one October night when she slides into the mind of someone holding a bloody knife, standing over Sophie’s slashed body.Vee desperately wishes she could share her secret, but who would believe her? It sounds so crazy that she can’t bring herself to tell her best friend, Rollins, let alone the police. Even if she could confide in Rollins, he has been acting off lately, more distant, especially now that she’s been spending more time with Zane.

Enmeshed in a terrifying web of secrets, lies, and danger and with no one to turn to, Vee must find a way to unmask the killer before he or she strikes again.

  1. YES! This book deserves a special birthday shout-out — I absolutely adooooooooooored it! I actually really liked both Rollins and Zane as love interests because they were each really sweet in their own ways! (Although I have to admit that I’m leaning towards that best-friend-turned-romance thing!) 😉

You chose a really good book to spotlight, Danny! And thanks for sharing that cool info about giveaway stuff! I kind of want to hug Jill haha! x)

Me neither, I’m glad we get another book. At first I thought it would be a standalone but I like when books feel like a Standalone yet you still get a sequel! There is room to explore the characters and to throw some more mystery at them!
