Happy Friday
Blogger & Bookish Events during BEA 2014
BEA is close and very soon – May 29th the doors will open and everyone is looking forward getting to know new authors and making new contacts to publishers and learn about upcoming trends!
But this week will not only be filled with BEA but also with other events that might be just as exciting! Today, I’m just going to list a few:
BEA Blogger Conference – May 28th
I went there every year – but honestly, I’m not the biggest fan anymore, the panels are just not appealing enough. But there is one reason why I go, it’s the best place to meet the other bloggers before BEA starts! I love connecting with friends before the craziness that is BEA.
This year I am also excited about the keynote speaker, which will be Maureen Johnson (YEAH) and the After-Hour Party which will include Libba Bray and her band!
So if you are going to be there – I am excited to see you:)
Book Con – May 31st
I am honestly super excited about this! Usually, the last day of BEA is super slow and while this is not necessarily a bad thing – I am so looking forward to see what they all have planed for Book Con.
Book Con is a event happening in a special area of BEA and will have amazing panels and incredible guests!! Publishers also are hosting some exciting special events during Book Con – so I am not going to miss this!!
Teen Author Carnival May 28th
This is always a wonderful event which includes an amazing set of Young Adult authors and super interesting panels. The event takes place in a wonderful Library. so if you are in New York early, then you should definitely stop by!
BEA Book Blogger Picnic and Meet & Drink
Organized by Katelyn from Kate’s Tales of Books and Bands, Andrea from The Overstuffed Bookcase, and Jen fromYA Romantics & Alexa Loves Books .
This is a wonderful idea to meet fellow book bloggers! and while I couldn’t go last year I hope to go at least to the Meet & Drink this year! The Picnic will be Friday and the Meet & Drink Saturday!
And of course, for all those who can’t go to BEA there is this wonderful event:
Armchair BEA 2014
It’s a wonderful event hosted by wonderful people so head over and have a look:)
So are cow coming to BEA? going to other events during this week too? Which ones? and if you do not go, are you planning to participate in Armchair BEA?

Oh, you KNOW I’ll be there! MoJo as keynote and Libba and her band? Yes! And I think the Picnic and Meet & Drink are fabulous ideas! Plus, BookCon sounds wonderful this year! I’ve got to get into some of those panels (maybe even sit down! *gasp*).

I definitely plan to try to make it to the Carnival and there is a Blogger Bash hosted by BookRiot that same night.
Oddly enough almost that whole line up of YA author carnival is mostly contemporary authors isn’t it? I’m totally not a contemp reader =(

Every year I think of going to the Teen Carnival, but then I worry that it’ll be too crowded or that I won’t get enough rest for the next day. Like last year, I’m staying with a blogging friend who lives outside the city, so I’ll probably skip it this year, but I do plan on going to the BEA Blogger Picnic and Meet and Drink since Andrea is a good friend of mine.
I leave for New York on the 23rd!!!! I’m so excited that I’m having trouble doing anything else but thinking about BEA.
