In modern-day London, two brilliant high school students, one Sherlock Holmes and a Miss James "Mori" Moriarty, meet. A murder will bring them together. The truth very well might drive them apart.
Before they were mortal enemies, they were much more.
FACT: Someone has been murdered in London's Regent's Park. The police have no leads.
FACT: Miss James "Mori"Moriarty and Sherlock "Lock" Holmes should be hitting the books on a school night. Instead, they are out crashing a crime scene.
FACT: Lock has challenged Mori to solve the case before he does. Challenge accepted.
FACT: Despite agreeing to Lock's one rule--they must share every clue with each other--Mori is keeping secrets.
OBSERVATION: Sometimes you can't trust the people closest to you with matters of the heart. And after this case, Mori may never trust Lock again.
I am a Big fan of Sherlock Holmes, he most definitely is one of the most intriguing detectives out there. Now, throw in a Teenage Sherlock and I’m even more sold! This is why I was so excited thread Lock & Mori and I’m also thrilled to have Heather W. Petty on the Blog who shares some interesting facts about Lock:)
Ten Interesting Facts about Lock:
- Mycroft once had to retrieve Lock from Northumberland police after he’d been caught trying to break into the Poison Garden at Alnwick Castle after hours.
- Lock’s favorite breakfast is Mrs. Hudson’s Kedgeree.
- Lock’s favorite Teletubby is Po.
- Lock’s favorite living violinist is Salvatore Accardo, though he once took a trip to Vienna without permission to see Sarah Chang perform Carmen Fantasy by Sarasate.
- He once got into an argument with a bus driver that got so heated, the driver pulled the bus over to yell in Lock’s face.
- In primary school, Lock often got into trouble for waiting to do his homework until the teacher started to collect it from the class. His mother got so tired of being called into conference over it, she told his teachers not to call her unless the homework was incomplete or incorrect. She never got a call again.
- Lock thinks reading fiction is a waste of time that could be used to learn actual facts. (He’s wrong about things sometimes.) (Obviously.)
- Sherlock was afraid of snakes when he was little, so he made himself go to the London Zoo Reptile House once a week for the entirety of grade 7.
- Lock has always wanted to holiday in Switzerland.
- In chapter three of Lock & Mori, before Mori told Lock her real name, he was going to guess Madelyn. He feels rather smug that he got the first letter correct with a mere guess.

I think the fact that Lock wants to holiday in Switzerland. All the other facts seem like something I would expect of him but Switzerland feels a bit random to me…the same goes I guess with the Teletubby fact. Both Switzerland and Po seem like random/odd choices for Lock. Thanks for the giveaway!
