Cora Cormack is undoubtably one of the Queens of New Adult and I adore her writing. She’s one of the few New Adult authors who is on my Auto-Buy list. And with this new series – Rusk University – she even got me more excited! It always reminds me of Friday Night Lights. a series I was obsessed over a few years back!

The Bad Boy and The Good Girl – and it just works!

This is a classic scenario and pairing in New Adult books, but it’s classic because it always works! Here, Cora even went a step ahead by choosing Silas as her next main character, a boy we know from the first book and quite frankly was not one of our favorite characters. But, this is something I love so much about exploring different characters – learning what motivates them and what made them behave like a jerk. Silas is a perfect example, once we slipped into his mind we slowly begin to understand this boy and seeing him falling for this girl, and desperately wanting to change is one part what makes this story so great!

Football, Love and Drama! Bring it on!

Silas is struggling so hard to stay on his feet and to stay on the team, and then he meet Dylan and he finally begins to realize that he has to face his problems and that he wants to be a better man for this girl! On the other side we have Dylan who was always the picture perfect child her parents wants her to be. But when she meets Silas, suddenly she questions who she is and who she wants to be and what is really important for her and not just for her parents!

The chemistry is hot and sizzling and exactly what I want when I pick up a New Adult romance, the drama runs high and Football teaches how to be part of a Team. I loved exploring these two characters, who good they were for each other and how they changed and developed.

My only complain was the ending, it came up too fast and I felt like Dylan still needed to deal with her parents to get closure. This part was left out and could have been explored a little better for my taste.
