Super 6 Books That Rocked My Mind!
Have you ever read a book and not just loved it but been utterly and totally blown away? The kind of book that leaves you with a book hang-over that lasts so long, one that makes all other books spoiled for you for a while? Here are 6 that’s rocked me!
This play is a short read, most plays are, but it’s unbelievably powerful. Topical and resonate for all of us who lived through the days before and more importantly after 9/11, it’s takes the experience most of us had and tilts it ever so slightly. But that tilt, viewing it all through the eyes of a Muslim American, is an amazingly significant one. I was so leveled by this book….it’s something I think everyone should read!
My first Libba Bray book and holy cow it was EPIC!!! So strange and compelling and funny and poignant! If you haven’t taken the opportunity to read this fantastic, stand alone book, take the chance now!
Kelley York’s Hushed is a dark tale of where love can take the human soul. Beautifully constructed and impeccably executed, this book is one not to miss!
Oh my….carnie folk. This book is a wild, crazy tale of the depths of the human spirit and the universality of the human experience and ultimately just seriously strange folks. But it’s also an incredible book!
Oh how I loved this book! So film noir-y, and yet tapping in so deeply to the high school experience, this book, and the ending, were phenomenal!!
Holy cow, who didn’t get mind f*cked by this book?!?!?! Do I even need to say how this book rocked my world?!?

I am such a wimp 🙂 I tend to shy away for any controversy in the books I read. Life has been a bit unfair to me over the last year, so I tend to read more mainstream. I do however have GONE GIRL in my TBR list, so maybe it is time to bump it up TBR next 🙂

I’ve had Going Bovine for what feels like forever, but I haven’t gotten around to reading it yet. (You said, “holy cow” LOL) Puns. I love ’em. ALSO–Geek Love looks really good. I’ll have to check that out 🙂
