From acclaimed author Katie McGarry comes an explosive new tale of a good girl with a reckless streak, a street-smart guy with nothing to lose, and a romance forged in the fast lane

The girl with straight As, designer clothes and the perfect life-that's who people expect Rachel Young to be. So the private-school junior keeps secrets from her wealthy parents and overbearing brothers...and she's just added two more to the list. One involves racing strangers down dark country roads in her Mustang GT. The other? Seventeen-year-old Isaiah Walker-a guy she has no business even talking to. But when the foster kid with the tattoos and intense gray eyes comes to her rescue, she can't get him out of her mind.

Isaiah has secrets, too. About where he lives, and how he really feels about Rachel. The last thing he needs is to get tangled up with a rich girl who wants to slum it on the south side for kicks-no matter how angelic she might look.

But when their shared love of street racing puts both their lives in jeopardy, they have six weeks to come up with a way out. Six weeks to discover just how far they'll go to save each other.

Well, I guess it’s clear that we here at the Bookworms are the biggest Katie McGarry fans. We love her deeply and her books always touch us so deeply. And ever since we read Pushing The Limits, we knew that we needed to hear Isaiah’s story!

Isaiah – Oh Poor Boy, how do we love you!

Danny: Isaiah is such a tortured boy that we cannot help but love and want to take him in our arms and tell him all will be good!  He definitely didn’t had it easy in life. Abandoned by his parents and now it’s only Noah and Beth who feels even closely to family. But now, Noah has Echo and Beth? Well she broke his poor heart and ever since this happened over the course of Pushing The Limits and Dare You To we felt so deeply for him! We need him to have his happy ending!

Heather: Definitely, Danny! Isaiah has had such a tough life. And after finally losing Beth completely (in his mind) in Dare You To to Ryan, he only really has Noah left. And even that relationship is hanging on by a thread because Isaiah can see that he’s holding Noah back from all the things that he could be doing, but Noah is staying behind in part so he and Isaiah can live in an apartment together .

Pushy:   Isaiah has always had a place in my heart.  From the very first book, I know I’m not the only reader who was drawn to this sad, tough boy with the sensitive side.  I was so happy when I heard this book would be his story because I knew we could trust Katie to give him a story worthy of him.

So, who can save Isaiah’s Heart?

Danny: I was so surprised when I met Rachel, who seems from the outside like the poster child, coming from rich parents and being well taken care of. So, what does this girl see in Isaiah, a tattooed boy who looks rough and clearly not in her league.

But that was the beauty about Rachel! Because what we first see from the outside is not who Rachel really is. She’s rebellious yet she would do anything for her family. She never really believes in herself, until Isaiah makes her see herself with different eyes.

Heather: If you looked at Rachel’s family, you’d definitely expect Rachel to be a certain way coming from such an affluent, large, successful family that has barely been colored by the loss of one of their own. But Rachel knows how to hide herself well, and like the rest of her family, she knows how to cope with such a tragic loss and the heavy expectations the family has placed upon her head. The ways she deals with this aren’t commonplace for a girl in her place, but they bring her straight into Isaiah’s life.

She isn’t intimidated by his rough exterior, his clear signals for her to steer clear that most people pick up on. He’s drawn to and fascinated by how she’s not what she should be: a rich, privileged girl who likes fast cars and isn’t afraid to drive them, but she’s afraid of her family.

Pushy:  I was surprised too that Isaiah would wind up with Rachel, who’s so very different from Beth on the surface, but when we get to know her story there are a lot of similarities there.  And when it comes to Rachel’s fierce love of and loyalty to Isaiah, not even Beth could have chosen a better match for Isaiah!

They are just prefect for each other!

Danny: Rachel and Isaiah are just what the other needs them to be. Isaiah needs someone he can take care of, yet who is strong on her own and stands her ground with him. And Rachel on the other hand needs someone to have her back and would do anything for her, this gives her all the strength she needs to deal with her family.

Katie McGarry couldn’t have created a more perfect pair!

Heather: I totally agree, Danny! They perfectly compliment each other, and while they find themselves in a really dangerous situation, they have each others backs–no matter what.

Pushy:  Once again, Katie McGarry has created a love story that’s so perfect it will leave the reader swooning with delight.  Rachel and Isaiah have quickly become one of my favorite, fictional couples!

Bottom Line

Crash into You by Katie McGarry was heartbreaking, thrilling and exciting. The romance was outstandingly beautiful, wonderful, and touching, and it’s easy to shed some tears over these wonderful page. Clearly, Katie McGarry outdid herself with Crash Into You, and as much as we love her other books, this is definitely her best book yet!

  1. I think that everything published made a great deal of sense.
But, what about this? what if you composed a catchier post title?
I mean, I don’t want to tell you how to run your website, however what if you added something that grabbed people’s
attention? I mean Bewitched BookwormsPure, Outstanding Awesomeness!
Crash into You by Katie McGarry | Bewitched Bookworms is a little vanilla.

You should glance at Yahoo’s front page and see how they create article titles to grab people to click.
You might add a related video or a related pic or two to
get people interested about what you’ve written.
Just my opinion, it would make your posts a little livelier.

  2. I always try so very hard to like Katie McGarry’s books, but I always fall somewhere around the middle. I neither love nor hate them. I was looking forward to this book so so much because I agreed that Beth and Isaiah just weren’t right for each other. But I expected something different with Rachel and I felt a bit disappointed by her.
I still finshed it in one sitting and enjoyed it overall.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, ladies!

  3. I really liked this book because who couldn’t fall in love with Isaiah! He is such a tortured soul who needs a fresh start in his life. We all assumed he was the bad boy but he turned out to be pretty on track with his life since he wasn’t involved in a gang and he was smart about his autoshop classes.
I do have to say I loved Rachel and her story made me cry a few times because I can relate to her in many ways.
Together they were great and I can’t wait for the next book.

  4. I liked Pushing the Limits, but I’m hesitant about reading the companion novels because it kinda weirds me out when I read a book where the main characters I loved in another book get pushed to the background (you’ve probably noticed that from my review of The Lost Prince).
Hmm… this book does sound very good though…
