It’s Heather here today sharing my ….
Super Six Books of 2013 so far!
I’ve only read 38 books this year, but I’ve read a few that have been so good that I just need to stop and share them.
There haven’t been that many series that have grabbed my attention and held it lately, made me really need to read the next book ASAP like the new adult horror/romance Experiment in Terror series by Karina Halle. The seventh book was super creepy, steamy, angsty, and just oh so good. (Goodreads / Amazon / My Review)
False Memory was one of my favorite books of 2012, and the second book in this series, False Sight packed as much of a thrilling punch as the first one did. I loved the sci-fi parallel world turn this book took, and Dan Krokos isn’t afraid to take the characters into dark places. (Goodreads / Amazon / My Review)
I loved the Beautiful Creatures series that Margaret Stohl and Kami Garcia wrote together, so I was eager to check out the books that they’re putting out on their own. And I was blown away by Icons. I listened to the audiobook, and all I can say is that was the perfect way to ingest this book. Simply emotional, heartbreaking, lyrical, and perfect. Pushy and I will be reviewing this book soon. (Goodreads / Amazon)
Shades of Earth, the final installment of this sci-fi trilogy by Beth Revis was a highly anticipated book on my list. It was a highly emotional, action packed, and high-stakes finale as they fight for their lives on Centari Earth, which was their final destination all along. (Goodreads / Amazon / Pushy and Heather’s Review )
Ah, The Fury–horror at it’s finest. This book ranks up in my top ten of books for the last few years. Gritty, scary, smart and unique characterizations, and one of the longest books at nearly 700 awesome pages. (Goodreads / Amazon / My Review)
Charley Davidson’s snark and Reyes’ sexiness are in fine form in this fifth installment of Darynda Jones’ Charley Davidson Grim Reaper series. Each book keeps getting better and better, and I seriously can’t wait for the next one to come out. The stakes are raised in each of these books as the mythology grows incrementally. And the ending of this one was a jaw dropper. (Goodreads / Amazon / Danny and Heather’s Review)
What books of that you’ve read in 2013 have blown you away? Are there any that you can’t stop recommending to other people?
