Hello, all!!!

*Pushy waves*

Welcome to the latest installment of our new Meme/Feature (whatever it will turn out to be..):  Super 6 Sundays!

SuperSixSunday

Super Six Sunday is an original bookish meme hosted at Bewitched Bookworms and inspired by “Top Ten Tuesday” from The Broke and The Bookish . Check out the weekly schedule of themes here.

Super 6 Authors I’ve L-O-V-E-D Meeting!

I’m super excited about this week’s topic because getting to meet my favorite authors is one of my favorite parts of 1) being a blogger and 2) living near Anderson’s Bookshop!!

super six sunday - holly black

Holly Black was just as sweet and cool in person as I imagined when I read her books and I L-O-V-E-D her hair!

super six sunday - jane oconnor

I had such a fangirl moment when I ran into Jane O’Connor at BEA this year!  I love her Fancy Nancy series (as do my daughters) and she’s so kind, what a great moment!!

super six sunday - kami and margi

Kami and Margi were the first authors I met at Andersons and, little did I know then, what a lucky experience meeting them would be!

super six sunday - anna banks

Anna is simply made of win.  Really, she ROCKED her apparence at Anderson’s last year and is just as sly witted and snarky awesome in person as her characters are in her books!

super six sunday - anna jarzab

Anther fantastic moment from BEA this year was meeting Anna Jarzab.  I adored her book, All Unquiet Things, so I was beyond stoked to meet her and get Tandem signed!

super six sunday - katie and julie
It’s no secret we Bookworms love both Katie and Julie!  They’re both phenomenal writers and genuinely amazing people.  I met them both for the first time last year at BEA and seeing them again this year was one of the best parts of BEA for me!!

So those are MY top 6 authors that I’ve met since I started blogging.  What about you?

Do you get to meet authors where you live?  Who were your favs?  Or, if they don’t swing by your neck of the woods that often, who would you most want to meet?

Let us know!

Now go and get lost….in a book!

You are more than welcome to join this new bookish meme. In fact – we would be more than excited and thrilled if you like our new meme and give it a try.

Just link to your post in the comment for now, and if there are more people who like to try this out, we will definitely have a linky up for you next time!

Woot!

Lover of words and authors; absolute fan girl of books! Give me a good story, with characters I can love (and hate) and I'll follow you anywhere. Sing me a song of worlds I can dream of, and I'll listen forever.

  1. SO MANY FANTASTIC AUTHORS!! YAY!! BEA is really the only place I’ve met authors because no one comes through Columbia…unless it’s by accident. I don’t know why. Columbia’s actually listed as one of the top book buying cities (via Amazon. Probably a reason we don’t have any Indies.).

  2. Hi Pushy! I love this meme post! I love meeting authors! I went to Anderson’s once when I was in Chicago many years ago and loved the book shop. I love how it has so many author visits. (I met Claudia Gray and Andrea Cremer at a conference run by the store, such an incredible experience!)

Thats wonderful that you were able to meet so many awesome authors. I hope to meet Holly Black and Julie Kagawa someday too. Love the pictures!

My favorite personal author experience- hmm, have tea at Starbuck’s with Brigid Kemmerer last March.

    Authors are certainly the best!
