Did you read my glowing Review about the Boy-Wonder “Elementals Series” last week? I just love this series so freaking much that I am ridiculously excited to be part of the Blog Tour for Spirit today! And… I have Hunter here for an Interview!! Gosh, this tormented sad boy….
So, please welcome Hunter today on the Blog and please stay for a Giveaway at the very end .. plus info on how you can get a Elementals book fo free!!
Hi Hunter, please come in and take a seat – I’m so excited you had time to stop by and answer a few questions. Anything to drink or eat?
Nah. I’m good.
So, Hunter since you came to life with your grandparents how did your life change?
*A shrug.* They’re all right. I don’t always get along with my grandfather, but it’s a roof over my head.
That sounds… rough…
And then you meet the Merrick boys and they weren’t exactly as you thought they would be right?
I wasn’t sure what to expect. I thought they’d killed my father, so I expected cold-blooded murderers. They’re actually … all right.
Would you say that you are closest to Gabriel? Why’s that?
I guess you could say that. He’s a dick sometimes, but I get it. He’s got reason to be.
Would you call him a friend? Everyone needs friends and I have a feeling you don’t have many and might need one.
Right now I don’t think I could call anyone a friend.
Why is it so hard to trust the Merrick boys, it seems like they truly want to be friends with you?
*scoffs* A lot of people seem like they want to be friends. Part of that is my Element. Being a Fifth draws everyone, you know? My father always told me to use everyone before they could use me. He said it would keep me safe. It’s easier to keep people at arm’s length.
Do you feel like being a Spirit User sets you apart from everyone else?
Yeah. And that’s part of the problem.
After loosing Becca to Chris (if that is how we could call it) were you deep down not just a little heartbroken? I mean Becca is a really amazing girl…
I was never really honest with Becca, so I don’t think I ever had a chance to make her mine. I’m starting to figure out that if I don’t trust anyone, they’re not going to trust me back. But that’s part of life, right?
….. and then came Kate? What sets her apart from the other girls, what makes her special?
Kate. *a small smile* Kate is … she’s … *a bigger smile* Kate is a force to be reckoned with. And that’s all I’m going to say about that.
Thank you so much Hunter for taking your time

Series: Elemental #3

With power comes enemies. Lots of them.
Hunter Garrity just wants to be left alone. He’s learned the hard way that his unusual abilities come at a price. And he can’t seem to afford any allies.
He’s up to his neck in hostiles. His grandfather, spoiling for a fight. The Merrick brothers, who think he ratted them out. Calla, the scheming psycho who wants to use him as bait.
Then there’s Kate Sullivan, the new girl at school. She’s not hostile. She’s bold. Funny. Hot. But she’s got an agenda, too.
With supposedly secret powers rippling to the surface everywhere around him, Hunter knows something ugly is about to go down. But finding out what means he’ll have to find someone he can trust…

About Brigid Kemmerer
Brigid Kemmerer started writing in high school, and her first real “novel” was about four vampire brothers causing a ruckus in the suburbs. Those four brothers are the same boys living in the pages of The Elemental Series, so Brigid likes to say she’s had four teenage boys taking up space in her head for the last seventeen years!
Spirit, the latest book in the series, will be released in stores and online on May 28, 2013. Connect with Brigid on her website, Twitter, Facebook, and GoodReads.

I love that the mention of Kate made him smile:) I know you loved this one Danny, so it will be not shocking in the least when I inevitably fall madly in love with it as well. I’m excited to know more about Hunter, I don’t feel like a really have a bead on him based on the last two books and I’m excited to see him center stage!

I haven’t read the series yet but I like the interview with Hunter. He seems honest even though he says he wasn’t with Becca. And easy going.

I’ve read almost all the Merrick books. (Michael’s novella is the one I haven’t read.)Which is mostly why I’m looking forward to Spirit. Plus I read the summary of Spirit. Should there be another reason? Cause I can’t think of one.

Hunter’s not a man of many words…
But I’m looking forward to his story. I don’t have much of an opinion on Hunter, I was rooting for Chris in Storm but Brigid has a knack for changing my opinion on the boys (After reading Spark I fell head over heels with Gabriel) so I’m hoping I’ll grow to love him in Spirit! 🙂

Hunter is so cute. And I love how it seems like it’s really him talking in the interview. I’ve read some interviews where it feels like it’s not the character talking.
