t’s been months since Aria last saw Perry. Months since Perry was named Blood Lord of the Tides, and Aria was charged with an impossible mission. Now, finally, they are about to be reunited. But their reunion is far from perfect. The Tides don’t take kindly to Aria, a former Dweller. And with the worsening Aether storms threatening the tribe’s precarious existence, Aria begins to fear that leaving Perry behind might be the only way to save them both.

Threatened by false friends, hidden enemies, and powerful temptations, Aria and Perry wonder, Can their love survive through the ever night?

In this second book in her spellbinding Under the Never Sky trilogy, Veronica Rossi combines fantasy and dystopian elements to create a captivating love story as perilous as it is unforgettable

Pushy:  It’s here, it’s here, IT’S FINALLY HERE!!!!!  After such a LOOOONNGGG wait I finally got to be with Aria and Perry again!!!

Danny:  A few pages in the book and I remembered why I loved the first book so much!! Those amazing character that spring at you through the pages and that grip your heart so tightly!

 ThroughTheEverNight

The Big Search

Danny:  Aria is coming back because she’s forced to search for the Still Blue, a promised land without the horrible Aether Storms. But she not only wants to search this land for Hess but also for Perry’s tribe, who suffer more and more from the ever changing weather.

Pushy:  Like a fairy tale, the Still Blue beckons not only to the Dwellers and the Tribes but anyone who looks with fear into the crackling, wildly-lit skies.  But if it truly exists, it won’t be easily won…or protected.

Aria – from Innocence to Heroism

Pushy:  As much as Aria grew in the first book, she truly blossomed in this book!

Danny:  Aria did grow so amazingly throughout her journey. She’s far from innocent anymore and is now becoming a strong determined woman who only wants the best for the people she loves.  With her big heart, she is a girl I loved tremendously, even more than in the first book! Her love and strength is admirable.

Perry, first a boy now a leader

Danny:  Oh Perry!!! He’s an amazing character! He is strong, loyal has an incredible big wonderful heart and when he loves he gives everything!! Perry’s journey is not easy, having become the leader of his rise he’s now forced to gain the respect and loyalty from his people…. My heart broke for him while he was struggling with this path..

Pushy:   Whether he knows it or not, Perry is the leader his tribe needs.  Almost from birth, he’s been tested; he’s known the shifting, often violent moods of his father, he’s know the random destruction of the Aether Storms, he’s known the uncertainty of providing for his people.  And he’s always put his tribe and his family ahead of his own wants and needs.  But when the Tribe that he’s given his life to, seen his brother’s life taken for, looks upon the woman he loves as an outsider…that’s a recipe for a lot of pain!

Roar, friendship, love and loss

Danny:  The love between Aria and Perry is one of the most beautiful parts of the first book and their love only grew in through the ever night. But, it’s not easy for them to bee together, especially with Perry now being a lord. There were some incredibly and beautiful romantic moments, but most of the times it was heartbreaking……

Pushy:  Oh my goodness how I love this couple!!!  They are made to be together and to see them kept apart by so many things, I ached for them!  But fortunately they have Roar to help hold them together, even when their own stubborn misunderstandings threaten to keep them apart!

Danny:  One of my favorite characters is the carefree Roar! Best friend of Perry and Aria, and I loved this boy so freakingly much! He’s loyal to them in away that everyone dreams of having a friend like this.. Also he and Aria became super close and I loved their friendship and companionship.

Pushy:  But remember, Roar’s lost someone too…Perry sister, Liv.  And when he finds her….

The story is fast paced, yet perfectly so, just enough to keep you flipping swiftly to the next page. But be warned….there is one event that will make you gasp, bring you to tears and will get you shaking your head in disbelief……

Bottom Line

Through the Ever Night by Veronica Rossi was everything we dared to hope for after the incredible debut that was Under the Never Sky. It’s full of love, loyalty, friendship and family all packed in the search for the big hope of survival….definitely our favorite type of dystopian story!!

If you haven’t had the chance to check this series out….you must do so!  Today!!!

  1. YOU GUYS!!!!! I NEED TO READ THIS! I entered 2309580948309467 contests to win it so I’ve held off buying it, but I don’t think I’m going to be a winner so I just need to suck it up and get to the bookstore immediately. I’m so excited that Roar and Aria’s friendship is such a focal point in this book, I’m just madly in love with him. And of course Perry. So glad to see you both loved it so much!

  2. Yayyy wonderful review! 🙂 I TOTALLY agree. I love how much Aria blossomed in this book. I admit it. There were times in UtNS that she bothered me juuust a teensy bit. Loved her in TtEN! I’m actually not huge on the Aria-Perry romance (nothing against it! Just doesn’t hook me in), but that’s probably because I’m in love with Roar. I loved seeing more of him in this book and he had such a great story line too. Oh yay, I love talking about this book with people!!!
