Torched by Andrea Lynn Colt  on goodreads:

Rose Whitfield’s senior year just went up in smoke. Instead of having a blast with her best friend, her cheerleading squad, and her boyfriend Ryan, she’s framed for arson. Popularity and criminal records don’t mix, apparently.

Luckily, Rose knows who’s framing her: Paxton Callaway. Paxton and Rose have spent years locked in a war of practical jokes. This time he’s gone too far. Rose sets out to prove her innocence, win Ryan back, and take Paxton down hard.

Not necessarily in that order.

Truth to be told the blurb von Miranda Keannely “Fun, Sexy and Hilarious” sold this book to me. I love her books so I also trust her taste, plus the synopsis sounds truly like fun! and… oh my god… how I ended up loving this book!!

Fun and cute storyline with a mystery to be solved!

The story captivated and drew me in right from the start. Torched is one of those stories, where you easily get lost in and forget that its way past bedtime. At least that happened to me! There was not a single dull moment and I found myself turning pages after pages desperately wanting more from Rose, Paxton and the mysterious arsonist.

Rose – cute, popular, has the perfect friends and suddenly… an outcast

Rose had a great life, popular, gorgeous and having the right friends until that moment of the fire! But, Rose never was a shallow characters, she had heart and was smart and I loved her instantly. I felt with her when she turned from being super popular to being an outcast. I felt her frustration when she desperately wanted to find someone who believes her, sadly nobody did. Even her own parents didn’t believe her!!! That was so sad! The only solace she finds in Paxton….

Paxton – equally cute, awesome and Rose’s enemy!

Once, Rose and Paxton were best friends, the something happened and then… they were best enemies. The played pranks at each other, some fun some… borderline cruel. Weird enough, in the time Rose needs a friend most, she finds Paxton. I absolutely adored the relationship!! It was easy to feel that they both were sad about not being friends anymore and we slowly try to figure out what happened between those two!

Love, Twist, Turns and Wonderment!

I love the romance in Torched, it was just made of wonderment!! It was perfect, full of chemistry and tension! The chemistry between those two was nearly palpable and  it was sizzling and burning with emotion! Cute, adorable and just the perfect amount of sexiness! While trying to find the real arsonist there are twists and turns that will surprise you, keep you guessing and on edge!

Bottom Line

Andrea Lynn Colt did everything right in this story full of wonderment and cuteness!!! It was fun, it had twists, turns and two characters that were just sizzling with chemistry! Personally I cannot wait for the next story from Andrea Lynn Colt, I’m surely one of her fangirls right now!

GREAT cover! I love the match heads. And am very pleased it’s not a girl in a pretty dress on fire or some such nonsense. Adding this one to the wishlist!

This looks like just the kind of book that I would enjoy! Since you described it as cute and it also has a mystery it kind of reminds me of Deadly Cool by Gemma Halliday, which I really liked.

I have never heard of this book before so thanks for introducing me to something new! :)

Hope you are having a great week

How have I never heard of a book that you just gave a 5 Danny?! UNACCEPTABLE! I need to read this immediately, you know I love antagonistic relationships, and clearly Paxton and Rose have a very extreme version of one with their practical joke war. Thanks so much for the recommendation my friend!

This sounds like a great contemporary! I love that it’s cute. I like the trope of childhood friends turned enemies turned lovers but I’m wary about the mean pranks. This does sound pretty fantastic overall though, great review! <3

Sounds like the perfect read when you’re looking for something lighter and non-paranormal.

Thanks for the review!
