It’s Monday, and this Monday comes with some hot books and hot boys! Way to start the week hu?

A NOVEMBER TO REMEMBER

Brought to You By:

THE VINCENT BOYS By Abbi Glines

This day it’s all about the Boys that broke our hearts *sigh* . After I read The Vincent Boys from Abbi Glines I immediately had two boys from “Friday Night Lights” the TV show in my mind: Tim Riggins and Jason Street!

Why?

Why, I’m glad you asked!

Those two boys have been close like brothers, while Tim always was the mysterious brooding , troubled kind of boy (=BEAU) and Jason was the picture perfect son (=SAWYER). Both sets of boys have been in love with the same girl forever and who ended up getting the girl? The hot brooding boy!

Gosh, how I loved this series, how many tears I cried and … seriously it broke my heart seeing Tim struggle so much, always thinking he was not good enough and would never be good enough for anything! I feel head over heels for Tim Riggins and he broke my heart constantly with his self-destruction!

Just like Beau from The Vincent Boys! While the story is definitely not the same, it has some similarities that made me think so much about “Friday Night Lights” and what I loved so much about this series!

Can a girl really ruin such a deep friendship, or such deep bonds those boys formed over the years of growing up?

Well, I know how Friday Night Light ended, but to see how “The Vincent Boys” ends you have to read it yourself.

And, read it you must!

I LOVED those two books like so freaking much!

It has all the heartbreak, the intense closeness of friends/cousins/brothers that is all mushy and sweet. But there are also those sexy and hot scenes that just rock these books!

oh and I seriously adore the new shiny covers!!

About The Vincent Boys

goodreads | amazon | BookDepository

(Note: it’s only $4.99 on amazon, so go and grab a copy!!)

Get seduced by a sizzling account of attraction and betrayal in this previously self-published phenomenon.

Ashton is getting tired of being good, of impressing her parents and playing ideal girlfriend to Sawyer Vincent. Sawyer is perfect, a regular Prince Charming, but when he leaves town for the summer, it’s his cousin Beau who catches Ashton’s eye. Beau is the sexiest guy she’s ever seen, and even though he’s dangerous, Ashton is drawn to him.

Beau loves his cousin like a brother, so the last thing he wants to do is make a move on Sawyer’s girl. Ashton is off-limits, absolutely. That’s why he does his best to keep his distance, even though he’s been in love with her forever. When Ashton wants to rekindle their childhood friendship in Sawyer’s absence, Beau knows he should say no.

Ashton and Beau don’t want to hurt Sawyer. But the more they try to stay away from each other, the more intense their urges become. It’s getting way too hard to resist….

The sequel to The Vincent Boys, The Vincent Brothers will be released December 18, 2012. The eBook is already out!!!

  1. I’ve been re-watching The West Wing lately. Have you heard of it? I’m not sure if you’d like it, but it’s probably my all time favorite TV series. I die a little each time Sam, Charlie, and Josh get on the screen. Sam is played by Rob Lowe, who despite being at least 15 years older than me is uber hot.
Also, Matthew from Downton Abbey comes to mind.

  3. TAYLOR KITSCH! I’m a little in love with him, and now I need to read this book so I can picture him as one of these infamous Vincent Boys. I definitely am looking forward to meeting the, every post on this stop has moved them a little farther up the TBR list and they’re now at the top. Must. Have.

  4. What a great post! When I read your post the first thing that popped into my head was The Gilmore Girls. Jesse and Dean and their struggle over Rory. 🙂 I haven’t even heard of The Vincent Boys, but your fabulous review has piqued my interest and I will be putting it on my to-read list.

I could talk about supernatural forever!!!!! I’m so excited we are getting two more seasons. Thank god for those hot boys!!

  5. Holy mother of God. Tim Riggins. Taylor Kitsch. I loved the Friday Night Lights series but my hours changed at work and I was unable to watch the past few seasons. I found a place online where I’ve been able to watch every single episode from the pilot through the last one and I bawl my eyes out in nearly every episode. I’ve not read anything by Abbi Glines yet but everyone keeps saying I must! Thanks for the giveaway.

I have read and loved all of Abbi Glines’ books. I also loved Friday Night Lights and never thought of the similarities before, but it’s so true! I just finished watching Dawson’s Creek on Netflix and it kind of reminds me of the Dawson-Joey-Pacey love triangle. I love when the (seemingly) underdog gets the girl in the end 🙂

There are totally similarities right?? Despite the fact that the Vincent Boys won’t end up being paralyzed. But , the good and the bad boy *sigh*

Well, I know it’s kinda old, but I will always say that Ross from Friends did when “they were on a break!” But, I also liked someone else’s comment about Gilmore Girls. They Rory, Jess and Dean triangle was so heartbreaking at times. And, i totally fell in love with Beau when I read The Vincent Boys.. Totally had me over Sawyer.

Oh Michelle, I also followed Friends back then and loved it! Oh and I loved Beau and I thought I’d never love Sawyer, but when I read his book? I totally fell for him too!

  8. Most recently… I’ve been catching up on Once Upon a Time and let me tell you, there are plenty of heartaches to be found. For me, one of my biggest ones is when David (Charming) doubts Mary Margaret’s (Snow White) innocence over something horrid (no worries, no spoilers from me!). He really rips my heart out. I can’t believe he could think she was capable of something so horrid for even a split second! Especially since she stood behind him 100% percent. I definitely don’t like the “cursed” version of him… he’s a bum.

    Thanks for the giveaway!

  9. Oh yes I loved Tim as well. Hmm as far as tv shows that broke my heart, I know I am dating myself but the Wonder Years and all the angst between Kevin and Winnie and after it all they didn’t end up together. I am loving the new covers of this series I bought book one last winter and still haven’t read it yet.

I LOVE the Vincent Boys. I don’t think a movie or tv show has broken my heart because they always end out the way I want them to. But there are sad moments during the movie that break my heart. 🙂

Can it be reality tv because everytime I watch The Voice, Adam Levine breaks my heart, lol! Anyways, I have not fallen in love with The Vincent Boys, but I hope to soon!

  12. I have had the Vincent Boys on my Kindle forever but haven’t read it yet. I think I got it free at the beginning of the year. I even have a couple of the Sea Breeze books, but still haven’t read them. I can’t believe I have such a great book sitting there waiting for me to read. It’s moving up the reading list. You do make them sound like Must Reads right now!!! I just love your enthusiasm!

It has to be Luke Perry (who played Dylan) in 90210. Dylan broke my heart when he left 90210. He was the bad boy after my heart.

I haven’t read the Vincent Boys but I love the best friend’s girlfriend conflict. I would love to read the series.

Travis Maddox broke my heart in pieces when he bagged that girl in his living room while poor Abby saw while she was living with him. I love all the Moreno bros!

I’d have to say Nash from Soul Screamers. He really disappointed me with his actions in the last couple of books. I haven’t read any of her books yet, but I’ll have to check them out. Thanks for the great giveaway!

P.S. I love Friday Night Lights too!

Sorry, I just realized it said TV/Movie character! In that case, I would say Michael from Prison Break at the end. I don’t want to spoil anything but it was really sad!

Once upon a Time has a lot of heartache. Charming when he doubts Snow on killing his exwife, Hook turns more evil when his beloved dies, Rumpelstiltskin turns evil to protect his son and in the end looses everything. So sad!

I don’t really watch TV so nobody in a series has ever broke my heart…lol. I do love the Vincent Brothers though. I love Sawyer and I’m hoping he lands up with someone awesome. I hated that he got his heart broke in book 1. I still need to read book 2.

Angel broke my heart a couple of times. First on Buffy and then on Angel. *sigh* I haven’t read any of The Vincent Boys yet, but I’ve been told to multiple times, so I really need to!
