Happy Sunday my friends and welcome to:

Weekly meme from The Story Siren. The idea is to post the books you got this week, whether you bought them, got them as a gift, from the library, or received them to review.

For Review –

eCopies via NetGalley and Edelweiss. Thanks to HarperCollins. St.Martins, Macmillan, Scholastic, Random House and AngryRobot!

I cannot even begin to tell how excited I am about Stormdancer!!!!

I’ve been waiting to read something from Darynda Jones since a very long time! And this series is going to be awesome! But, the cover is so so wrong! It doesn’t make sense;(

I got Degrees of Wrong from one of my favorite Authors Anna Banks aka Anna Scarlet! And.. I can tell it’s as snarky and the men are as sexy as in Of Poseidon!

Semi-Charmed Life is maybe considered more adult, or New Adult than YA. But I’m looking forward to it nevertheless!

Books Bought

I read some reviews and it’s supposed to be super funny!!

Audiobooks

Ha! Apparently I have a Rachel Vincent Audioweek – love those covers and I love Rachel Vincent!

Woot!!!!!! Exciting hu???
Love my mailbox – especially Stormdancer, Death and The Girl Next Door and Mystic City!
Let me know what you have in your mailbox!!
Much Love,
Obsessive Reader by Night – Scientist at Day!
You can also find me on goodreads. I’d love to get to know you so, don’t be shy and say Hello!

  1. Faaabulous! I’m super jealous of Midnight City and especially BREATHE!! Oh my god, dying to read that!

Regarding The Assassin’s Curse – I’ve been telling everyone and their mother this.. but don’t read the blurb! If you already have, then I’d recommend waiting a few weeks before reading it so you can try to forget it. The blurb actually contains spoilers about the book 🙁 Rather than being a short intro/teaser, it’s actually a summary of the entire book start to finish. Some things said in the blurb aren’t actually revealed until the last 10-20 pages of the book! How lame is that? It was still a good book, but reading the blurb beforehand kind of ruined my experience. 🙁 I kept waiting for something ‘more’ to happen, since I though the blurb was just an intro.

Enjoy all your books! I hope Breathe is as amazing as it sounds!

    • I know her adult covers really look great! But this one is absolutely disappointing.. it’s not the cover itself – it’s that the cover does not truly fit to the story!

Ha! I can’t wait to read Team Human! totally up for something funny 🙂

  5. Wow, lots of awesome books! I have most of them on my TBR list as well, so I can’t wait to see what you think about them.
I’m jealous you got Death and the Girl Next Door, but I’m glad you liked it. That cover is very disappointing though. Oh well, at least Darynda’s writing is always fabulous. 😀
I need to check out Degrees of Wrong and Semi-Charmed Life ASAP. Degrees of Wrong seems to be my kind of book!

I think you’ll like Team Human, but don’t read it in public places, it’s too damn funny! I laughed out loud all the time while I read it!:))

    Happy reading!
