The sky is dark with wings . . . .Like sand in an hourglass, time is running out for Luce and Daniel. To stop Lucifer from erasing the past they must find the place where the angels fell to earth. Dark forces are after them, and Daniel doesn’t know if he can do this—live only to lose Luce again and again.Yet together they will face an epic battle that will end with lifeless bodies . . . and angel dust. Great sacrifices are made. Hearts are destroyed. And suddenly Luce knows what must happen. For she was meant to be with someone other than Daniel. The curse they’ve borne has always and only been about her—and the love she cast aside. The choice she makes now will be the only one that truly matters. In the fight for Luce, who will win?The astonishing conclusion to the FALLEN series. Heaven can’t wait any longer.

I am in awe of this series… If there is any epic love story, then it’s the one from Luce and Daniel. Fallen was one of the first books I read after my Twilight Obsession and I love this series ever since. Funny enough, I fell in love with Daniel the minute he flipped Luce off when they first met in Fallen. This series broke me heart so many times, I cried so many times and I swooned so many times. Finally, with Rapture we get closure. We had a wonderful time together…
Epic Love!
True Love!
True Soul Mates!

The End

Last books are always hard. There are so many loose questions that now finally need to come to an end so that the reader gets closure, so that we can finish this series and feel satisfied. Lauren Kate gave us all this – she went beyond from what I first expected when I picked Fallen up a few years ago. The mythology behind Daniel’s and Luce’s love story was so incredible and epically heartbreaking. During every book throughout the series we learned more and more, new layers and mysteries were revelaed and each left us breathless with the enormity of this epic love story.

Full Disclosure

Rapture indeed gave us so many answers and went even beyond about what I imaged. We finally get to the botton, to the very beginning of Daniel and Luce’s tale. How they fell in love and the background of their love and also of their curse. Discovering and getting all those answers was thrilling and exciting. I was speechless and astonished by the sheer enormity of this story. Never, did I imagine what was finally revealed. The whole series slowly builds to this final showdown and.. it was well worth the ride and the tears!

Epic Love

This story is all about love. Sure, there is the Angel and the Fall of the Angels mythology but in the end it’s a love story. Readers whit a deep affection for epic love stories need to read these books. A Love that spans million of years and countless lifetimes. Lovers that find each other anywhere and anytime is truly the most heartbreaking and heartmelting story to tell. In Rapture this love finally is judged and we are on edge the whole time, dreading the final outcome….

Bewitched Rating

Bottom Line

In Rapture brings Lauren Kate the epic tale of love to a breathtaking ending. Some twists I suspected, some totally took me by surpris. However, Ratpture was a fitting ending to an beautifully woven love story that is beyond everything I read before … I’m glad and sad its over! This was an emotional roller coaster and my heart needed Luce and Daniel story to come to and end, I was ready…

Additional Notes

The Audiobooks are absolutely phenomenal! Justine Eyre is my favorite narrator – I love her voice, accents and intonations. If you love audiobooks this definitely is a series to add to your audio-list.
Also, I need to point out here and now that I desperately need a Cam spin-off. He was one of my favorite characters in this series and I need more of him! Please Mrs Kate : Give us Cam!
The super cute Gina from The Bucket List hosted a Fallen Book Discussion, maybe you want to check it out. Gina is super cute, I meet her at BEA last week and I’m super happy she said hello!!
Previews Reviews:
*sigh*
So tell me… if you already started with this series, what do you expect from the ending, what do you expect from Rapture?
If you haven’t started the series, will you now?
Much Love,

  1. I never started the Fallen series because of all the negativity surrounding it. Somehow, the summary never captured my attention.
It’s really great that this final installment surpassed all your expectations. I love when books do that. 😀
I’m so glad you enjoyed this book, Danny.
Lovely review ! 🙂 I might give the books a shot some time in the future ! 🙂

I know that some people didn’t like Fallen, but I was always a big fan of this. I also think this is one of these series that grows immensely with each book! It gets more and more complex, the love more epic and the mythology more awesome!

  2. Danny- Fallen was the first book I read after Twilight series too! I loved the cover and have loved the series ever since. I’m so glad it delivered for you! I’m anxiously awaiting my copy this week. It is a series that has gotten better with each book! I cannot wait to read it though that part in the book blurb about Luce was meant to be with someone else has me worried. I think Daniel has suffered enough that he deserves to have Luce! God I can’t wait to read this one! Thanks for the super review!!!

That’s so awesome!!!! I loved Fallen and it was awesome getting back into reading something new and exciting!

This series grew so much and clearly, Passion was one of my highlights in this series! Clearly, Rapture delivered an epic ending and I can’t wait to hear what you think! I haven’t talked to someone about the end and I need to do this!

hey Danny, i have to start with this: “i absolutely loved ur post on Rapture.”
ive read fallen 17 times, torment 9 times, passion 6times, and fallen in love 4 times. i loved this book [my name gives it away] because it had the true love some people actually believe in,-like me- but i also read online that the ending is disappointing and apparently its going to be released in the uk tomorrow. i want to read it badly but before that i need to know the ending!.. please tell me i would greatly appreciate every bit of it. i cried when i thought luce and daniel wouldnt be together.
thank you so much.. and if possible please email it to me on; LucindaG15@yahoo.com
    thanks alot..(beautiful post, btw) :]

  3. Last books are always heartbreakers, but oh my gosh, I never expected this one to be five-doll worthy! I really liked the first one, but the next two were sort of guilty pleasure reads for me haha because I was always so confused but couldn’t stop reading! x) So now you made me EXTRA excited to read this — I can’t wait to find out what the fitting end is!

And to a Cam spin-off: YES PLEASE! He was one of my favourite characters too and it would honestly make my world if we got to see more of him in his own series! :’) <3 Amazing review, Danny!

Truly, in Rapture everything comes to an end… it was epic!!! Seeing all those tiny pieces finally fall together and we FINALLY learn about the curse! Gosh it was a shocker and so heartbreaking! Of course, some things I totally suspected but in the end.. I devoured it in one sitting!

I haven’t heard anything about a Spin Off – but damn it, I neeed CAM!!!! LOVE HIM so freaking MUCH!

  4. So it’s safe to start these now? The series is done, no more books? LOL, this is the first YA series to end since I’ve sworn off starting any new series. Guess there will be a new installment of “Heather Finally Reads…” someday.

Oh my God! Great review. 🙂 I have read the first three books of the Fallen Series. I’m not a big fan, I mean sometime, I found myself a but confused! However, I mist admit that I love Cam and would really like to read more about him. Well, after reading tour review, I am looking forward to Rapture as well. Yay! The finale. 😀 I hope it ends in a great way.

  6. I’m so far behind in this series Danny! I still have only read book 1. Fail. It appears based on your rating though that the series gets better and better, and that’s definitely encouraging. I love when later books in the series end up being the best ones yet. LOVE YOU!

yes yes it does!!!!! Loved the progress of the series and that the deeper we got into it, the more was revealed and the more we learned about the Angel mythology, which I LOVED! This ending was perfect for this series and I hope you will have the time for it!

I agree! There is so much more to expand on the Fallen series! I love what she did with Fallen In Love, by far my fave book in the series! Every time I think about Arriane’s story I get all teary eyed! She can write a book about all the characters 🙂

  10. For some reason, the first book in the series just did not catch me *ducks and covers* I can’t even remember why I DNF-ed the first in this series…hum. Maybe I should go back and give it another chance. Poor Luce and Daniel–I was mean to them and blew off their epic love! Awesome review–glad the series ended well for you. 🙂

  11. I own the first 3 books of this series and I haven’t dared get into them yet becuase of all the mixed reviews. The ones who hate this are so passionate about it O_O Lol. Seems like you really liked it though and it sounds like they nailed a great ending! I’ll get to them eventually for sure!! Wonderful review, love!

I just finished the final book in the series, Rapture. I really enjoyed all the books leading up to it, including Fallen. It was amazing to see how Daniel could light up such a dark and depressed world that Luce was living in because she was being tormented by the curse. Throughout the entire series, I cried so many times! Especially when Luce was seeing Daniel’s true soul in each one of her past lives! But Rapture was something else entirely. I do have a one question left, but all my previous ones are answered. (: My question is: After Luce & Daniel live their mortal lives, will they find each other in heaven? I know that the Throne said that if they wanted to choose love, that was their punishment, but it just seems so unfair that they can’t be together forever in Heaven, angels again, or anything at all. :'(

That’s so true I thought the same thing! If they live a normal mortal life it’s unfair they can’t be together in heaven (cause that’s not really forever like they say it is)

Loved your review! I need to get a copy of Rapture and then devour it because I cannot wait to read it. As much as there has been quite a bit mixed feelings about this series; I loved every book and I hope I love Rapture as much as you did. Happy reading!

Okey, I have thought and thought about this book. I finally read it and it was great. But, the ending was good and I didn’t expect lucinda and well, you’ll find out, to have had been in love. There should have been way more cam in this book. It would have made it a lot beter. If lauren kate doesn’t make a cam book I literally will just die. I loved cam and he was the reason I even kept up with this series and now I’m sad because it diesnt say what happened to him at the end, there’s absolutely nothing and I can’t deal with that emty void in the back of my mind about what happened to cam. But, the ending was perfect for luce and daniel.

I need to know what happened to him ); LAUREN KATE WRITE ANOTHER BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!! haha(: but she obviously secretly loved him

okay i just finished the book and there are a few things that im still kinda confused about. the main one is how did luce originally die??? i know how she first met Daniel and how they fell in love but when she is having the vision of all of that in troy does it show us she originally died? was it the fall that caused her to die? i just want to know how it all got started.

Okay well I read ALL THE TIME and when I picked up Fallen I thought it was going to be just another cliche mythical love story. I was so wrong, the minute I started reading Fallen I fell in love with every character and surprisingly I had a huge crush on Cam (;. At parts it broke my heart, made me laugh and in the end made me cry.. the ending was so perfect but so heartbreaking to say goodbye to everyone but the thing I don’t understand is *SPOILER ALERT* why did they choose love? If they chose heaven wouldn’t they have been allowed to be together like Luce and Lucifer?

  17. Rapture was mind-blowing. From the very first book I was drawn into the series. The twist and turns were phenomenal! I loved this ending but at the same time it made me sad that they would never know how deeply their love ran and ironically I, too, feel there should be a Cam spin-off because he wasn’t included in the “movie-theatre scene” at the very end. This will always and forever be my favourite series. There love was swoon-worthy and even though I always slightly preferred Cam right up until this book I think Daniel and her fit perfectly. One soul. I feel bad though that Cam lost his love and that she never actually told him that she trusted him in the end :/ It left me thinking and I think that even though the books are finished that I will always be making little references in my head to them x

I am absolutely not done with the fallen series! Rapture ended so quick. The last sentence was just so.. Final. Not even stretched out a bit. I want to know more about Luce and Daniel. To see how their human lives together turn out and if they ever remember their past.. Just such a sad but happy ending. I cannot except its over. I am way too deep into it. I want more!! Please can someone tell Lauren Kate there must be more, more to Luce and Daniel’s story going forward!
