This weeks question is I like unique names for characters and am looking forward to coming up with some when I start writing. What’s the most unique character name you’ve come across?

Hm – that is a very tough question. The name that popped into my head immediately was Karou from Daughter’s of Smoke and Bone! I love the sound of this name and even stated I would name my kid like this:)

Welcome Miss Vain, I hope you'll like it here:)) I really love this name so much, it just has a magical sound and I'm not kidding about naming a girl after her. (Good thing I can say this since I'm far away from being pregnant..)

I am in love with the book Daughter of Smoke and Bone so I also like the name Karou, though it seemed a little out of character for the character. Ha!

Karou actually makes my list as well. I'm normally really persnickety about weird names but for me her name is the exception to the rule. My favorite name is actually DJ Schwenk because its so perfect for the character.

How do you pronounce the name karou. I’ve been googling pronunciations on the web, but have come up empty handed. Help!
