What’s your liquid fear?

For Wendy Leng, her inner secret self is a combination of creation and shame—when her defenses weaken, she is susceptible to her sensual cravings. Though her friend Anita is the former porn actress, it’s Wendy who is easily seduced, partly because of her artistic view of the world in which shapes and sensations are the richest part of life.

Wendy also still loves her estranged husband Roland, though their relationship is co-dependent. When trouble comes, Roland heads back to Wendy, and she once again makes herself vulnerable to him, only this time the stakes are life and death.

As the two are lured back to the scene of long-ago experiments, they must explore their own twisted roles from long ago, when Wendy’s moment of weakness planted the seed that drives Dr. Sebastian Briggs, the one conducting the experiment.

Wendy is Briggs’s pet project, and if others have to suffer, then that’s okay with him. And maybe okay with Wendy, too, After all, when someone knows the combination to your brain, there’s not any place left for secrets.

Liquid Fear. How much is enough?
