Today, we have Ethan here for a short chat:


Hi Ethan, I’m glad you had a change to come over here.

Ethan: Thank you for having me this evening.

So how did your life change when Merit came in your life?

Ethan: *Arching eyebrow* I’m not sure it’s changed, per se, although it’s certainly become more . . . entertaining.
There has been no little bit of drama in our House lately. That’s probably not entirely Merit’s fault, *grin* but Iwouldn’t say her presence has discouraged it at all. She has enlivened up the House a bit, I think. She’s made usconsider who we are and who we want to be–and whether we might aim for something more.

How would you describe Merit? How do you see her?

Ethan: She is intelligent, thorough, tenacious, stubborn as all get out. She is a lovely girl and a kind vampire–and I wonder if that will change over time. She likes to argue and uses sarcasm as a defense mechanism. She is — Merit.

In “Twice Bitten” things got… uhm … really intense between the two of you, can we expect something like this in “Hard Bitten”?

Ethan: I’m sorry, but my handler (Chloe) won’t let me reveal the content of future books. Suffice it to say, I’m sure there will be plenty of drama to satisfy all. *Looks at watch* Unfortunately, I have a call, so I need to cut this short.
