Hooray for Fridays!!

Yay for Fridays!!! The week’s almost over and it’s time for a whole love of Blog Love and Networking!

Let’s start with Jen’s Blog Hop.

Each week there is a new question to answer, which is fun and also helps to get to know each other better. This week’s question is from Somer @ A Bird’s Eye Review.

Do you read only one book at a time, or do you have several going at once?

Pushy: Are you kidding me? I always have at LEAST three books going. One on my Kindle. One on my iPod. One real one. I know I should focus but it doesn’t seem to bother me and a truly good book is one that will make me forget the others. What about you?
Danny: Yup same here! I always have an audiobook I’m listening to and a book in my Kindle or iPad. Normally I only start two at the same time…

Parajunkee is also running a Follow Friday meme that we love.
This week’s question is from Jess of Gone with the Words:

How did you come up with your blog name?

Pushy: It wasn’t easy! But we all got together and brainstormed, built off each other’s ideas and BAM we had a name! And we’ve never wanted to change it. *smile*
Danny: I love our name and I’m glad we finally found that. We had some working titles but then, cutie had an idea and pushy added her sparkling idea and the Bewitched Bookworms were born! I’m glad we had such über-creative girls coming up with such a fabulous idea!

Finally, we’d love to take the opportunity to welcome all the new faces and the old ones too! *waves* Glad you are here and we hope you like it here at the Bewitched Bookworms.

To get an impression about us, this was what we were up to at the Bookworms last week:
  • I got to read and review an amazing compilation, Truth & Dare edited by Liz Miles. AND one of my favorite authors, Heidi R. Kling, wrote a story in it that I ADORED!!! Definitely check it out!
  • Danny let us all know that the prequel to Born at Midnight, Turned at Dark is available for free download! Check it out and don’t miss what is sure to be a huge hit by C. C. Hunter.
  • I got to review a sad but wonderful book, Opposite of Amber by Gillian Phillip. And stay tuned because one of the amazing characters of this book, Nathan Baird, will be here for a character interview next month!

And don’t forget!! If you like audiobooks: hop on over to our Audiobook Challenge for 2011! It’s going to be great fun and a great way to enjoy books even when you can’t have one in your hands. Check it out!!

Now go and get lost…in a book!

  1. Hopping through again for the weekend. I wish I could focus on (and devote myself to) two books at once. But I think I'm stuck with just the one…and reading blogs…and watching TV… 😉

If you feel like hopping my way, come venture into The Wolf's Den. Hope you're having a great weekend!

  2. Omg, I'm so jealous Danny has an iPad. I want one so badly! But I guess I'll settle for books for now. 🙂

I also read multiple books at a time so that I don't neglect my physical books at home.

Old follower! I hope you all will stop by my hop!

I read way too many books at once too, I think having so many different ways to read them helps keep them neat and separate in my brain… sort of. I am crazy jealous that Danny has an iPad! *want* lol, Happy Friday!

  4. Not everyone can multi-task and nobody should. When it comes to book sure, I can't read four books simultaneously (or even two, for that matter!) but there are times I'll juggle as many as four books at a time depending on the subject matter, the urgency or more often both.

The real trick to this is what KINDS of books to juggle. Hop on over to my blog and learn the method behind my madness – http://www.howardshermannet

I'm late to this party, but I just had to say, I respect anyone who can read more than one book at once. I can only take one on at a time, or my brain brain starts to get all confuzzoled and I mix up the stories. Plus, I sorta feel like I'm cheating on the first book I started…. As per usual, I make a simple thing like reading into an ordeal.
