Welcome to Notable Quotables! Not sure exactly what you’re supposed to do to be a part of the meme? Check out our first post here.

Notable Quotables is a meme we started here at Bewitched Bookworms to share some of our favorite quotes in the books we’ve been reading. We think it is a fun way to find out a bit more about each other as book bloggers and to share everything from great snarky zingers to sigh inducing avowals of love.

Anyone can participate in this meme and it really can be any quote from any book, no matter the genre. So get creative and share something fun!

I first read Twilight over two years ago and I still remember how I felt when I read this line. Like my heart was filling up and breaking apart all at the same time. One of the things I absolutely adored about the Twilight Saga was how much it made me feel. Now it’s not secret that I’m a sucker for a good romance, but the intensity of emotion that Stephenie Meyer’s writing inspired in me was above and beyond the norm. Even now, I put my hand on my heart and sigh a little, remembering how lovely it was to fall in love, for the first time, with Edward Cullen.

And, as the year draws to a close and I start to think about all the wonderful things that have happened in it (this blog starting is a big one of them for me) I can’t help but noting that if my best friend had never lent me her books, I never would have fallen in love with Edward, never have gone online looking for ways to keep that passion alive and never found my twi-buds who became my Bewitched Bookworm girls! And for that I say, “Thank you SO MUCH, Ms. Meyer.”
