In My Mailbox – Where Heather Makes a Teenager Jealous

Weekly meme from The Story Siren. The idea is to post the books you got this week, whether you bought them, got them as a gift, from the library, or received them to review.

Heather here. I’m back this week with four books I’m really excited about.
First up, I got an ARC of Darkest Mercy, the fifth and final book in the Wicked Lovely series by Melissa Marr. This copy was so generously given to us by the publisher, Harper Collins.

Pushy handed this book off to me at a book signing by Becca Fitzpatrick. I pulled this out of the envelope and a teenager behind me whispered to her mom “Oh my god, she already has the last Wicked Lovely book.” I shoved the book back in the envelope and buried it deep in my purse. I devoured this book in two days and am passing it onto the other Bookworms. I won’t spoil the book, but it was the best one out of the series, except for the first book.

I received two books in the mail by author Tami Hoag, thanks to TLC Book Tours.
On Thursday, December 16, the author will be stopping by on her Secrets of the Grave blog tour. This book will be released on December 28, 2010. They generously provided a copy of both Deeper than the Dead(book #1) and Secrets of the Grave(book #2) for me to review.

And finally, I preordered Patricia Cornwell’s latest Scarpetta book and it showed up at my house on Tuesday.
I’m really looking forward to reading this since it marks the return of the books being told from Kay Scarpetta’s first person view.

But what else showed up at my house due to my compulsion to preorder things from Amazon and forget about them? I had this lovely dvd waiting for me when I got home from work on Friday.

I know it’s not a book, but I’m excited to have this in my DVD collection. And see it for the third time.

I’ve shown you mine, now show me yours. What did you get lately?
